We spent 3 nights here and it was very positive. Staff moved us to another room when I complained about crying baby and toddler in room above. Upgraded to a suite. Great hot breakfast with staff available to help out-dont forget to tip them. Staff from Monterey Fire Dept staying on site in case of local flood. Also was able to.walk to many restaurant options... nearby Thai restaurant great!

The room was spacious and there was a little cute courtyard with a table (it seemed it was primarily for use for the rooms directly off the courtyard, but we sat there anyway!). The fireplace warmed the place right up. It also made a big difference traveling as a family to have 1.5 bathrooms in our room. The hotel itself is a great value for the Carmel area. My original room was not quite ready, and I was upgraded to a beautiful cottage--very private, spacious, and had a jetted tub and shower! I was walked to the cottage and shown where the best parking area for my room was (private and secure). Grounds are gorgeous--beautiful patio with lush landscaping and a fire pit to enjoy on chilly evenings. Location in a residential area was great for walking.
