Best Western Arosa

This hotel has best location. near by shopping and subway station, about 15 minutes walking to royal palace.

not very clean, the bed is not confortable, service is bad, because by the shopping centre, its very noisy at night.

It's very central. Turn left from hotel and in 5 meters you are in the main shopping street, near the metro and in walking distance from other important sights in the centre of Madrid. The hotel looks good. Room (5th floor) was spacious and practical and bathroom looked new and was well equiped. Little noisy at night, but if you have a high room facing sidestreet it's not too bad. There are 2 lifts; 1 very small triangle shape, but also a larger one.

It s absolutly not a 4 stars hotel, small and unconfortable, the pics on the website are about something else ! It sure can be a 2 star hotel so you can have for sure something better with the same money

Dirty walls, broken tiles in bathroom, dingy room. No room service, no food or drink available after 1am. This is not 4 star!

For a self-proclaimed 4 star hotel, this is the worse we've been to. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel from its service to hotel room. The hotel room was clean and simple, probably a 3 star level. As with service, oh my goodness! We have never been to a 4 place where hotel staff are so rude, uncaring and unhelpful. We had been robbed of all our personal items in Barcelona and when we arrived in Madrid (mainly to apply for an emergency passport), we looking for a little kindness and service with a smile. Instead, we got cold stares and our requests for the staff members to assist with making calls so that we can leave the country were unhelpful (esp when we don't speak Spanish and the voice recordings were all in Spanish).

Central location, near to restaurants and shops as well as metro station.

Reception on second floor and lift stops there everytime, going up or down, regardless of you requesting it to. Bathroom very old and smelt slightly musty.

I thought the cleanliness of the room was well taken care of, and one of the porters was pleasant.

The majority of the staff i found to be unhelpful, as i had a couple of problems that needed assitance and there was none given, the reception desk was supposed to be open 24 hrs for guest convience, but on two occassions at approx 22.30 there was no-one around.

Breakfast was OK. Kitchen staff were smilingly helpful. The porter and room atendant were good.

The central location is fine. The reception staff could smile a bit more. Not preparing a breakfast pack for guests departing for the airport before 7 am, even tho they paid, is not right

Single room with comfortable bed and good shower. Located right in the center of Madrid off the Gran Via. Rooms are soundproofed so the city noises from the street does not bother the guests.

We were staying at Hotel Arosa and attending an exhibition at the Feria, which was somewhat of a long metro ride with two transfers each way. It was a perfect location to walk around the city and to discover restaurants each evening, but the commute to and from the Feria was a bit too long despite Madrid's excellent Metro system.

The waiters were helpful. I was sick and asked for honey, lemon and hot water and they served with a smile.

The fact that I thought the room was larger. And the English was not too great but you find that all over Spain.
