Apartamentos Caballero de Gracia

The manager, Juan, is charming and could not be more helpful and accommodating. My basic Spanish helped. The location and area are good, close to famous sights (Puerta del Sol, Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor to name but a few). Metro less than one minute away. Lovely standard of accommodation, I hope to return some time.

As a female travelling alone I felt perfectly safe although the precinct around the nearby Metro is frequented by prostitutes waiting for clients. Not really a problem, just keep walking.

Location: Excellent, only 50 metres from Gran Via Metro station. Owner: Excellent, Juan is more like a host with his very welcoming and helpful manner. Apartment facilities: Excellent, the kitchen is fully equipped for self catering and there is a good basement supermarket situated in El Cortes Ingles at Puerta de Sol - Tip: Try Cerveceria 100 Montaditos around the corner on the pedestrianised Calle de la Montera, which provides great value food and drink.

My wife found the beds too firm, but I was fine. All down to personal taste.

good central location, plus comfort, cleanliness, and surprisingly quite! This apartment offers what it advertises- nice accommodations for the price! This is the third summer I've spent in Madrid and by far the best place I've stayed! Enjoyed my stay tremendously!

great location, good value, very nice set up

The manager was very friendly. The kitchen with clothes washer was very handy and there were plenty of stores to buy food. The bathroom was updated and spacious. The apartment was quiet and very conveniently located.

Very central location, nice studio with all necessary equipment (including iron, hair drier, kitchenware, etc.), very clean, friendly staff.

As the hotel is very central it also means that it is on a pretty noisy street, so it is good for people who do not plan to spend a lot of time in their hotel room and who prefer to stay out late at night.

Contrary to some comments, streets can be noisy. Although it might be because of Labor Day long weekend lots of street activity thru 4 a,m.

Very nice and large apartment. Good location in the city center. You can reach most of the interesting places in Madrid just walking or in a couple of metro stops (metro is very close). Ideal place if you travel with a little child. We also had a cot and a highchair for free.

Everything was in walking distance, very clean aptarment with all the mod cons needed.

Walking distance to most city center must see sites. As an American, european hotels are little small, so this was a better buy. It is very roomy and has a full kitchen and washer (have to hang dry clothes, though).

Parking is a little difficult but sufficient (don't rent a big car). Juan is a very nice guy but can't speak much english (but in my opinion, that's more my problem than his, I'm in his county).

Good location, nice place, the landlord is a very nice and helpfull person... We felt at home... I'd like to recomend this place!

It was a great suprise to find the Apartments were as nice they it look on the website; no trick photography or false advertising. Juan is a very good host who thinks of everything and clearly has a passion for hospitality. Modern, Fresh, Clean, Warm and Convenient.
