Good location. The hotel is well maintained and certainly offers a lot of comfort. The breakfast is a must as their cured ham, fruits etc are all of excellent quality. Highly recommendable and certainly for the price hat I paid, I consider it offers good value for money compared to some other 4-star hotels I stayed in say Italy.

The staff were terrific and helpful. The room was very modern with many amenities. The location was simply perfect for a quick getaway weekend with easy access to the entire city.

The only negative that I had about my stay at the hotel was that the rooms was tiny in the traditional European way -- hardly room to walk around the bed.

Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent service. Tapas restuarant very good, main restuarant very expensive and food portion large - we did not feel it was value for money. Could do with tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.

Layout very accommodating for a renovated European hotel. Beautiful bathroom with shower doors, jacuzzi, ample storage and very comfortable beds. The room was quiet and nicely furnished; did not feel modern "chic"; in other words, did not feel cheaply furnished.

I wish it was closer to the museums....

The hotel staff in all sections and at all levels were friendly and efficient, and always prepared to go the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The free minibar was a pleasant surprise although it consisted mainly of soft drinks and fruit juices. The hotel was also very well located for shopping and entertainment with several nearby metro stations - one was only 20 metres from the hotel.

My only gripe was the road works plaguing Madrid at present and in particular the street in front of the hotel. There was some noise in the morning but not too early. However I think that this should be signalled when booking.

Room is small but cozy. Terrace is useful only for smoking people.

Lovely rooms, exactly as pictured. Bed was comfortable and staff was responsive and friendly. They smiled and laughed with us many times as we connected just walking through the lobby and out the entry. The adjoining restaurant is fabulous. The morning and evening staff there made our meals all the more fun and personal. The food was delicious - morning brunch had everything you can imagine, hot and cold, spanning 2 walls of selections. It was our favorite breakfast in Europe. It helped since there are no hot pots for coffee or tea in rooms in Europe. Coffee was one minute away and was delicious.

Good location for center of City.Intimate style hotel with modern well decorated and clean rooms and free internet.

The restaurant could be bigger.Rooms were also a little small.

A very good hotel however as of Sept 1-4 2009 there was major construction of the street in front of the hotel. A taxi could not even come in front of the hotel. We had to walk 30 meters with our bags to the entrance.

Very well appointed room with thoughtfully designed furnishings and amenities. Lots of closet space, so we were able to keep the room tidy even though overall the room was not very large. Very comfortable bed with a firm mattress and a variety of pillows to select from. Bathroom was also very well designed. Nice lobby area. Very efficient room service. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient location, we were able to stock our room with locally purchased milk, yogurt, cereal and fruit and avoid paying the ridiculously high price for breakfast. We didn't have the noise issue that some other reviewers have complained about - maybe they've improved the soundproofing recently.

Would have loved to have a little teakettle in the room, but apparently this is not a common amenity in Madrid. No moisturizer/lotion in the amenities, even though there were other things like toothbrush, comb, shoe polish, which is not common. Breakfast too expensive.
