easy check-in, pleasant staff, central location, easy to find, nice room, reasonable price room was too cold--hard to regulate air conditioning. water temperature was very hard to control in the shower, and once the right temperature was obtained, water pressure was fairly low. |

The perfect location for a city trip. Bilbao has great touristic and cultural events and sites. For business the central position in the city heart is recommendable. Plenty of good restaurants and (tapas) bars. |

An excellent hotel. The "breakfast inclusive 3 day break" was exceptional value. Location is good for the Guggenheim and close to the excellent metro (for the old town) |

The room was very spacious and had a lovely bathroom. We had a beautiful balcony and view of Bilbao. It has a great location and is in close walking distance to all the main attractions and the metro. The staff was very pretentious and not terribly eager to help answer questions or give directions, though this is perhaps the service one receives at a 5 star hotel. A bit too snooty for my tastes. |

Beautiful hotel, in the heart of Bilbao and the Airport Shuttle stops just in front. For the price, it's an excellent choice. Only Spanish tv channels with tv5 et bbc. In a five star hotel, I would have expected more choice. |

This is a fine, old hotel. It's beautiful, and right in the cventre of the city. My car was damaged whilst in their care, but they have not accepted responsibility. I am hoping they will do so. I am not trying to blame them for damage already sustained. |

the location of the hotel is excellent for shopping and was very colse to family who live in bilbao.our son had his wedding reception in the carlton and we stayed there then. |

A very good hotel, excellent value for money. Our room was away from the traffic, well-appointed, quiet and comfortable. Buffet breakfast very good, lots to choose from. Staff on reception and in restaurant very pleasant and helpful. Airport bus stops virtually outside. Reasonable walking distance from Guggenheim and Bellas Artes museums. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bilbao. |

Excellent service and good location. The room was large enough to be comfortable. Quiet room even though the hotel is located right in the centre of the city, it was easy to walk to all places we visited. Very nice! |

The room was spacious, the view was great and the building itself is quite grand. Also, the Carlton is quite close to the Guggenheim (5 min walk) and the old city (10 min walk), and it is surrounded by shopping possibilities. The breakfast was great, but expensive. Wireless is free, but slow. Front desk staff were quite helpful and their English was strong. The breakfast was too expensive (18 euros); room service doesn't start until 9:00 a.m.; parking was expensive (23 euro/day). |

The staff were all friendly, co-operative and efficient and also very pleasant and helpful. I was there with my sister. The location was excellent for what we wanted to do in Bilbao. We would like to come back at some stage over the next number of years. There was some confusion on the Monday we were there as to where the breakfast room was. There was a conference on and a little better signage/ roping off the conference area would have alleviated this. |

Great location for visiting the Guggenheim Museum. Luxurious rooms and friendly helpful staff. The hotel is situated on one of the many plaza circles and if your room is on the front of the hotel by the plaza it can be very noisy especially late at night during the weekend. The fitness center is a bit of a joke. |
