Located 18 km from the Iguazú Falls UNESCO World Heritage Site, Puerto Iguazú is an Argentinean town situated near the Brazilian border, in the Province of Misiones. Its compact city centre is packed with restaurants, cafés and shops, while the area is well-known for its red soil and lush vegetation.
The stunning falls comprise 275 individual falls spread over 3 km between Argentina and Brazil. They have a maximum height of 80 metres and a water flow that can be three times superior to that of the Niagara Falls.
The Guaraní natives named the falls ‘iguazú’, meaning ‘big water’. The national park was founded in 1907, and some of the best hotels in Puerto Iguazú are located in the road linking the city centre to the falls. Some hotels on the Argentinean side of the waterfalls offer beautiful views.
The local bus station offers links to several long-distance destinations, including Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. The city is served by Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport, while the Brazilian Foz do Iguaçu International Airport is 16 km away.
Whether you need a backpacker hostel, a hotel near the airport, or a 5-star resort, don’t miss the Puerto Iguazú deals available on Booking.com!
I loved the Falls, especially the Argentina side. This was also our chance to visit Paraguay. There were some nice restaurants nearby. The weather was terribly hot and humid. We didn’t stay long at either Park because it was too hot and crowded in the morning. The sidewalks in Puerto Iguasu are terrible.

Seeing the Falls was a once in a lifetime amazing experience...
Seeing the Falls was a once in a lifetime amazing experience. Hiking trails are clearly marked and easy to walk. Trails well planed across the tops of falls allowing for various views of the falls. Restaurants in the park provided a broad choice of food and drinks and very good WiFi.
Toilets near restaurants were clean and well stocked with paper and soap.
Fantastic experience!
The city of Puerto Iguazu was small enough to navigate on foot but with many choices of good restaurants and places to stay.

It will leave you speechless!
It will leave you speechless! What an amazing site to behold!
Tip: As of this writing, the Argentina side is not a good option for viewing the Falls. They had a flood in October that damaged the Devil’s Throat Falls and two of the walkways. There is no telling how long it will take them to do the repairs, especially since they have not even begun any work.

This is a FABULOUS site.
This is a FABULOUS site. The waterfalls are amazing and well worth the trip. This was my second time here (first was May 1997) and the area has changed dramatically since then, with many more hotels and restaurants, but the ecology has remained natural and wonderful. You need two days here, one for each side of the Falls as the views are very different. The Bird Park near the Brazil side is well worth the visit. Also, allow 30-45 minutes to cross the Brazilian border from Argentina, both ways (the Brazilians insist that you go through immigration to both enter AND exit the country.
We stayed in Puerto Iguazu at the Secret Garden. Ate at La Rueda (steak) and at Aqva (fish). Both were excellent.
Nice hotel! Very nice pool good for relaxing at after going to Iguazu Falls. The hotel is located outside of town in the jungle, it’s a beautiful setting but know that it is not walkable. We knew this from previous reviews and it was not an issue for us as we really enjoyed the restaurant and the bar. The day that we did venture out to dinner the hotel helped us find a cab there and back. Service at the bar and restaurant runs at a relaxed pace, if you are looking for a quick bite to eat you may want to consider a different option.
This place was a blessing as I had trouble with my previous property. The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was super clean, the pool was clean and had enough beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast option was wonderful to have, with enough food and drinks to choose from. The location is superb, close to all the lovely restaurants on the main street and, the bus station where you can buy tickets to Iguazu Falls (Argentinian and Brazilian side).
Our stay in Si mi captain was fantastic ! Pablo is a devoted person and will do everything to fullfil’ your needs ! He is silly a wonderful person ! The swimming pool was perfect after a day spent at the falls under 40 degrees. It’s a must for us if your start in puerto iguazu! Finally the location is perfect everything feasible by foot ( bus station , restaurants , shops , money exchange , SIM card ) . We recommend so mi captain!
Modern, clean, comfortable hotel in great location near restaurants and downtown area. Spacious, airy room with good AC, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Lovely top floor pool and bar with amazing views and good food/drinks. We enjoyed a dip in pool on hot days. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but not the best we've had at hotels. Overall, excellent quality and value for the money and we would return.
First and foremost the location is second to none. You walk straight into the key trails from the hotel and the pool has a magnificent view of the falls. It was worth staying purely for the views and access. You can see the refurbishment was concentrated in the communal areas which were nice. Other highlights were cocktails and restaurant staff. The roof top bar was lovely, they had a DJ which created a nice atmosphere.
My family of six and I stayed at Loi Suites Iguazu Hotel and had booked three rooms. The hotel had a beautiful territory with impressive features like swimming pools and suspended bridges, giving you a real jungle experience.
The breakfast offered a decent variety of dishes. However, the rooms looked worn out and weren't renovated. Unfortunately, these were the only positive aspects of our stay.
Rober was extremely accommodating. He took all of our transport logistics with ease. His taxi service provided us transport to Iguazu Argentina and Brazil side, also took us to The Triple Frontier, and great restaurants. The hostel has hot water, private bathroom, refrigerator, A/C, and Tv. Bed was good. It's walking distance to the convenient store, La Aripuca, nearby bread store, and restaurant.
We stayed in a chalet which had private balcony and parking. Breakfast was lovely with a huge selection to choose from. There is a swimming pool although we did not use it. It is a relatively short walk to the Puerto Iguazu main street for restaurants and also the bus station for the buses to both the Argentinian and Brazilian waterfalls.
This hotel is very clean and comfortable and the location is fantastic, two minutes from the bus station, where you can catch a bus to the falls or the airport. Breakfast is simple, with simple fruit and pastries. Beds are comfy and air conditioning was nice. The showers could have been better but overall good stay - I would stay again.
The hotel is run by a lovely and very helpful couple who will explain all details about Iguazu falls to you. Comfortable facilities, fairly centrally located and very affordable. They also offer a small amount of currency exchange and transfer services across the border with Brazil, which was very convenient.
Nice hotel with great and clean room. The tv had also English chanels. It is located near the city center, few blocks away from the bus station. Restaurants and shops are in walking distance. The outside area of the hotel is beautiful. We will definitely stay again here when we visit Puerto Iguazu again.
Everything you need in a hotel/resort
Clean, spacious, swimming pool, the room smelt of a clean linen fragrance so beautiful, and the person who hosted us was very professional and helpful. Hope in my next trip to Argentina, will come to spend more time in the same place. Thank you
Loved the location of this hotel, right by the main freeway that goes into Puerto Iguazú and also to the Brazil border. We were perfectly centrally located for our Iguazú Falls tour excursions. The staff were extremely helpful. Loved the rooms and balcony views too!
Highly recommend Tré! Gorgeous, super clean hotel in great condition. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was really spacious and comfortable. Big pool and pretty grounds. We were sad to leave.
The security of the property and the excellent service from the lovely receptionist. She went above and beyond to help with organising taxis to providing lots of information about Puerto Iguazu and the Iguazu Falls.
Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. The breakfast was quite good. Location is perfect with a lot of restaurants. Bus is across street. If you do not have a car this is ideal.
