We went just before the museum started renovating the exhibits. It is interesting but we are definitely looking forward to the new and improved version, especially the Indigenous Cultures/History area.

Must see! Great section on the Indigenous people of the area and how different they are from other provinces (which we unfortunately seem to lump all together). Great insight! They have an IMax theatre there as well and we saw the Turtle 1/2 hr movie which was very interesting! We ran out of time!

The Royal BC Museum and Archives is about 2 blocks away. And the Miniature World is like 10 mins walk. Lots of shops and restaurants around the hotel. It is a little away to Chinatown but walkable. The room is clean, spacious and quiet. You can also leave your luggages with the front desk after checkout.

Plenty of lights in every corner! Location is very convenient! (right by the Royal BC Museum and Beacon’s Hill Park.) 10-25 min walking distance to various attractions (parliament building, empress hotel, fish man’s wharf, Chinatown, etc..) and restaurants! Grateful for extra few hours of parking allowance after we checked out! 🙏
