Beautiful Canarian style buildings in the 'old' town and lovely plazas. Plenty of good restaurants (we loved Arcon Tapas, Bambi Gourmet, La Taperia, Restaurant Herreria to name but a few). Easy access to other areas by buses. Good walking routes close by. Fantastic rugged coastline with crashing waves. Weekends can be a bit busy, even in winter (February/March). Loro Parque is a must.

Its peaceful and tranquillity although we did travel in February. Weather was hot with lovely breeze. Found a lovely little spanish burger bar Tui Burgers, very reasonably priced, friendly staff and lovely food. We hired a car as it was around an hours drive from villa to Siam Water Park and Mount Teide and 15mins drive to Lorro Parque. Both the Park & Lorro were busy even in February - would imagine they get overcrowded in summer months. Great place and would definitely go back.

This is not a bump bump music town it is for couples and families. There is a good contrast between old town and new. There is a mild surfer's beach at one end and a black sand beach at the other with the old town and harbour in-between. There is a good mix of shops and restaurants. It is flat walk right along the the water front. There are several parks to sit and relax in.
La Fragata at the old harbour is a great pub that also does coffee.

There are beautiful views, with beautiful black sand beaches and banana trees. The ocean from the north side of Tenerife is way too aggressive 🥲 with great waves and no possibility to swim.
The only tourist attraction is Loro park. Siam park and whale watching is on another side of the island. Though the prices for accommodation are pretty acceptable here.

I first visited P de la Cruz in 2005.
I first visited P de la Cruz in 2005. The town has become much more prosperous & international in the intervening two decades with many well known retail brands now well established here.
End of January/early February must be popular because we found the town crowded at every hour of the day or night. However, it is spotlessly clean and the new floral Avenue from the shopping centre to the Harbour/seaside is a welcome addition. I also appreciated the attractive new statue of the fisher girl selling her wares with a basket of octopus balanced on her head. (see photos).
Staff in cafes are polite and friendly. Prices are reasonable.
Food appears to be only average but we ate well at the Semiramis hotel.
The weather is idyllic; never too hot and often a fresh breeze blowing. Small wonder Tenerife is known as the Island of Eternal Spring.
Puerto, on NW coast of the island, receives a little more rain than other parts but has been suffering from a lack of precipitation in recent years. However, the abundance of colourful vegetation hasn't suffered unduly & the Botanic Gardens in La Paz are a shaded paradise of exotic greenery. Very restful & well worth visiting. (see photo of the Lily Pond there).
Finally.. did you know Agatha Christie was a resident here in 1927? (See photo : a selection of her book titles on a flight of steps in the old town). Every 2nd year there's a festival of plays and films in her honour...the centenary year is now only 3 years distant!

This is not a beach resort even though it has a few black sand beaches. It is primarily a resort for enjoying the superb surroundings, views and climate. It is pleasant to stroll around the resort. Bear in mind that it does rain here quite often which is why it is so green and verdant.

Firstly, the cleanliness of our room was impeccable, and the mesmerizing ocean view, which is a feature of almost all rooms, made our stay truly memorable. The breathtaking view, especially from the 14th floor, contributed significantly to our overall enjoyment.
The breakfast served at the hotel was varied and pleasing, offering a good start to our days of exploring Tenerife.
The hotel's pool area is another highlight, boasting a great design and offering a fantastic area for relaxation.
The staff was really friendly and helped us out with a map of things to see. The rooms were clean however the bathrooms seemed a little bit old. If you are looking for a modern and fancy apartement Pez azul is probably not the right choice. For us who were just looking for a cheap accomodation in Puerto de la Cruz we did not regret our stay. The kitchen comes with everything you need. The only thing that was missing was a little bit of soap to wash your dishes.
Nice location, not far from the beach and shopping. We picked this hotel as our second stay after spending some time in the south, keeping busy with all kinds of activities. Our main goal in Puerto de la Cruz was really to kick back and relax and I feel like this hotel was a great choice to do this. We were happy with the food. My niece had a great time swimming and jumping in the pool. We had a big room with a balcony, with a nice view of the ocean.
This was the best stocked and furnished apartment I stayed in on Tenerife! The kitchen is just perfect, the rooms are very cozy and clean and I could work during the day in great comfort. The bed is also immensly comfortable!
I used earplugs to drown out the love-making and throat-clearing of the neighbors and had the best sleep in a long time! ;) Totally recommended if you are aware of the downside and don't mind.
The location of San Borondon is very central but still the area is quiet and you get to sleep well. Nearby there are lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Also the bus station is close, so it's easy to use the excellent bus service of Tenerife. The hotel itself is pretty and the rooms are nice size. The pool area is peaceful. We have stayed in San Borondon now five times and will return again.
We received an upgrade to a bigger room and it was fabulos, with a very nice view and very clean. The hotel is located in a quiet area, near a park. The city center is just 15 minutes walk. They have a private parking but if it's full there is a free parking nearby. I absolutely recommend this hotel, it has all: calm atmosphere, green surroundings (a beautiful garden) and really nice views.
The apartment was very spacious and very well equipped. The location was perfect for us, a peaceful setting in the lovely, lush and green Botanico area of the town. The large balcony had fantastic views across to El Teide and our hosts were very friendly and helpful. It was our first time on Tenerife and we will definitely try to stay here again when we next visit.
Perfect location in the heart of Puerto, close to bus station as well. Very clean and well equipped. Leonardo was very welcoming, responsive and happy to help any time. Apart from nice balcony overseeing Playa del Muelle, the building also has very clean pool with amazing views. I will definitely book again for my next trip to Tenerife. Highly recommended
Location, staff, that´s given. But as a fifth accomodation during our week´s visit on Tenerife it´s safe to say you´ll struggle big time to find a place of such qualities for so little. Super comfy beds (though I encourage you to take the "thin" pillow offer). Roof pool is super cozy and attractive for your insta pics. Sun beds all over. Loved it!
The Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast is fresh and tasty. The price is very attractive! There is an open terrace with awesome views on the roof. The hotel has a cozy classic feeling, there is marble and wood and everything is super clean and works as intended.
Great spacious and comfortable "premium" rooms, extra attention to "premium" visitors. Better breakfast for "premium" suite visitors. Large double bed. Free tennis courts. Plenty of parking space. Well kept surroundings of the hotel. Great value!
Everything. The gardens are seriously special, it’s a very comfortable family run 4 star hotel and the staff are very engaging. It’s the best place we’ve found in Puerto de la Cruz - including the Botanico which is about 4 times more expensive.
The apartment is in a good location in Puerto de la Cruz, very close to the downtown with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were helpful and responsive. There is a shared laundry room where you can wash and dry clothes.
Amazing apartment, best we have ever stayed in on Tenerife. So modern and clean with the best views and sound of the ocean as you fall asleep. Tiziana great host, easy communication and good advice on places to eat.
I really enjoyed the neighborhood. Punta Brava was very cool with good restaurants and cafes walking distance. Parque Loro was right there as well, an excellent family excursion. Tenerife overall was awesome!
The hotel is located in a park, which was really nice. It was great to walk through another vertical park to reach the city center. The staff at the hotel were also very friendly and helpful.
Very nice and good equipped apartment. The location was perfect to go to Playa Jardin or visit Puerto de la Cruz. The host was very helpful with a lot of tips for the area and Tenerife.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is at a good location in Tenerife north with the city center very close by. The pool was also warm and lovely
