Lots to see and do - I was only there for three nights and wish it could have been more. Trafford Centre is great as is the city centre for shopping and the whole local is really easy to get around on the trams. I wouldn't say that Manchester is full of must see iconic...
I wouldn't say that Manchester is full of must see iconic buildings etc, but it has enough to make it interesting. The mix of ancient and modern co-existing gives the place an air of perpetual progression. Definitely a city that is proud of it's past (warts and all), but with a very positive vision for the future. Impressive!

What a city! We loved every second of our trip, the Manchester United Stadium tour was truly inspiring and the restaurants and sights were great. We could not have met more friendly, welcoming people.
