My second time in Korcula and this time I brought my snorkels and the effort paid off. We snorkeled as much as we could and were gratified by so many sea urchins and star fish! The water temperature in late September was just perfect. We kept going back to this one restaurant Marco Polo because the staff Antonio was informative and entertaining. Their Posip (white wine from Korcula) was bar none the best we had! We kept saying next time we could cut short all the other locations in Croatia and just stay longer in Korcula!

A very picturesque old town.
A very picturesque old town. You can reach everywhere on foot.
For some reason this year restaurants were extremely expensive.
We have been going there for several years now and have noticed the price differences this year

Korcula is one the charming islands of Croatia, very closed to Durbovnik (2 hours ferry distance) and Split (2.3 hours ferry distance) but also closed to sacreds island of Lastovo and Mljet. Old city of Korcula is so far one of the oldies and charming cities you will see on Adriatic coast. As for the island and the beaches, you should definitely check islands Badija and Vrnik. Public beach on Korcula is best city beach in Adriatic I have seen, but if you have time you should see also Lumbarda beach (best water experience), beach in Zupnicka banja and Luka Bay (Port 9).

Korcula is wonderful, so if you have a chance to visit there, go!
Korcula Old Town is small, crowded but pretty.
There are interesting places to visit, bell tower, Marco Polo house..
Outside old town there are view points.
Good food but it is a popular place so prices can be high in Old Town area.
Take a buggy tour, visit wineries, take a boat trip to islands near, visit Vela Luka..
Eat decent price cevapcici at Popina with sea view or have best burgers at Pub Nordes!!

We only visited the town as staying for two nights and didn't have a car. Two nights is ample as the town is very small, but I have no doubt you could spend much longer is you were exploring more of the island.
There are a lot of nice restaurants in Korcula, some fine dining and the main street of restaurants overlooking the sea is spectacular.
The two swimming spots in the town were a welcome surprise - I would recommend Beach Zakerjan where you are shaded by the high city walls, and the water is pristine.
We ate at Konoba Aterina and Nonno - both highly recommended.

Beautiful island - there are 153 bays and there is a lot of apartments to hire. you should try and stay near a town as shops are limited unless yo are near Korcula town. plus most restaurants, bars etc are there. Be aware of the time to get ferries to the island. next time we may hvae hired a car & taken the car ferry as this always runs plus avoids taxis from airport to ferry, hydrafoils not running, etc..
The location, overlooking the sea @ breakfast and just outside the old town of Korçula was perfect. Our room had a street view, the hotel is split over 2 nearby locations. The staff were friendly, helpful.
The breakfast (8-10,30am) was very good.
The roof terrace (open noon to v late) is lovely. It is used for laundry drying, very eco-friendly, 8am - noon. Our bathroom was beatifully appointed.
The AC was good. An alternativë was a fan. We had a safe.
The place is very comfortable and the staff is kind! Good showers and beds, very clean. There's even a small kitchen if you need to prepare your own food. It's quite small, and there are no common areas besides the small kitchen, but it's definitely cosy to stay for one or two nights while exploring the town and enjoying the beach. Korcula is also very small and easy to explore, and the hostel is right in the middle of Old Town.
What a gem! Freshly refurbished house, modern design. Sparkling clean, nice owners and the beds! We were not able to find more comfortable beds in 4 star hotels. But wait until you walk outside of the house. Ideal spot with a view over to old Town and the mountains, just spectacular. Oh sorry, and if that's not enough - the is an acces to the beach 10 meters from the house. Don't look elsewhere. This is the place to be!
Beautiful old hotel in a perfect waterfront location in Korcula Old Town. Welcoming, helpful staff who were very accommodating of our needs travelling with a young child, and even help keep him entertained while we sipped drinks on the terrace one afternoon. The breakfasts were great and it's nice being able to enjoy them in the shaded terrace overlooking the harbour.
Nice rooms, air conditioned, good location. Clean hotel and facilities. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. One staff member stands out from all others, she was so helpful and smiley (worked in the bar and pool bar). Rooms were made up quickly and well each day.
Overall we would recommend as a good base to visit Korcula from.
Villa Marija is perhaps one of the best situated villas on Korcula island. The view is just stunning! The house itself is top notch! It has everything and even more of what you need for your great vacation. Jure, the host, is unbelievable in terms of hospitality, but also discreetness. We will be coming back for sure.
The location was beautiful & idyllic! Loved being next to the sea and able to have a morning swim. The villa had its own facilities plus we had use of the hotel facilities. so we used the hotel bikes, the restaurant, private beach and all the help from the reception staff. All the staff were great!
Large apartment, clean and functional. Easy location to find or to get to. Easy parking as well. The view is ok and the area feels safe. The place is rather dated, but it is inexpensive. It is not too far from Korcula but one needs the car to get there and the parking is expensive. Would recommend
The house is right in the heart of old town, very close to some beaches and a lot of restaurants. The host was super welcoming and provided us with a lot of useful tips and ideas about Korčula Island. The room was very clean and neat. A bit small, but quite comfortable for a couple of days.
The hotel is new and modern, nicely arranged. Our room was bright and spacious with a view, the bed was large and comfy, and the shower was excellent. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. But above all, the stuff is superb.
Endeavour management and staff, great food, nice outside nature, nice newly reconstructed hotel rooms (although switches in the rooms without lightening all the night would be less fancy but much better solution for calm sleeping).
The hotel is right on the promenade, so very close to all the restaurants. Beautiful view onto the sea! a small beach is 5min walk from the hotel or you can just go for a swim right on the rocks below the hotel. :-)
It was a beautiful stay in a cool and new hotel. Everything was clean, and we got fresh towels everyday. In front of the hotel there were free parking spots.
