The basilica has two particularly stunning chapels amongst all its other treasures. The world's oldest botanic garden still in its original place is just around the corner and has an interesting history. Don't miss its museum. Both easily reached from the Santo tram stop (direction 'Sud"). The tram is the major form of transport linking the major attractions. It only runs in two directions so it is easily.msnaged.

It is good to wear long sleeve and long pants when being a woman to get into the church. Otherwise you can buy some pareos or tuniques on site. You won't be allowed inside with summer short clothes. There are restrooms inside the church but work with 20 cents of Euros. Have coins with you if you want to use it!

    Very interesting indeed.

Very interesting indeed. You can see the tomb of Saint Anthony and many pilgrims visit it every day. The various side chapels and the frescoes covering the ceiling and walls are beautiful. this church was more interesting and colourful than the duomo. Also the museum and other chapels in the same area should be visited to learn about the life of Saint Anthony.
