Itsukushima Shrine is absolutely beautiful and a must-see if...
Itsukushima Shrine is absolutely beautiful and a must-see if you are anywhere near Hiroshima. Although a tad expensive, I strongly recommend staying on the island if at all possible; nothing beats walking near the shrine in the evening when the crowds are gone and the massive torii gate is illuminated at night, or in the early morning light. Unforgettable!

The room was spacious and superbly clean.. tatami was really comfortable as well. Staffs at front desk are so welcoming, warm & helpful. The location itself is just amazing. About 8 minutes walk to the ferry pier and also 7 mins walk to the famous Itsukushima Shrine with the floating gate (Torii). I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.ReglxtSingapore

Futon were comfortable and the room was quite nice. Across the road from Miyajima Aquarium. Itsukushima Shrine is very close so it's a great location for accessing the shrine away from peak crowds.

(They have a free mini-bus, but I think the walk was better!) Both the traditional Japanese dinner and the breakfast were wonderful, as was the overall atmosphere of the hotel. Great for a one or two night stay on Miyajima Island.

The rooms not only have beds, but also feature a traditional tatami section, and they even provided Yukatas! Additionally, the onsen was great as it stays open late, providing a great way to relax after a long day of walking.

Although the rooms were a bit dated, everything was clean. The onsen was great. Food was really good. Service was also great. Location is very good and close to the Itsukushima Shrine. I really recommend staying at the Miyajima Island. After the last ferry you have the island almost completely to yourself.

Was clean and staff were friendly. There is shuttle bus that can pick you up from the Miyajima station (had to use the pay phone to contact them which was easy). Onsen is public but was not crowded. Close walk to Itsukushima shrine as well as cable car up to top of mountain.

Hotel staff were exceptionally kind and went out of their way to help us (including giving us a map of restaurants open for dinner). The view from the room was beautiful, and the room was very lovely and had all necessary amenities.

There is also an excellent curry oyster bread stand right next to the hotel that I really loved. The hotel itself is in a great location. Close to Itsukushima Shrine and the ferry dock.

They have a free shuttle for pickup and drop off from ferry terminal.
