The location is brilliant, very close to public transport as well as most famous sightseeings like Hermitage and Palace Square! As to the hotel in general it was absolutely gorgeous. I was actually suprised that I can use booking.com for trips within Russia. As to the hotel - the hotel is pretty small but located in the heart of SPb. Perhaps it would not suit people taking city trips only to enjoy hotel views and facilities, but is a decent place for those who like lenghy walks around the city (the location of the hotel is superb - a few minutes walk from Winter palace, Neva river and other points of interest) and returning to the hotel only for a nap. The rooms are quite small but clean and confortable. Our room was on the second floor just opposit the reception desk, we had no problem with the shower and no complaints about the noise (including noise from neighbouring rooms). We missed the breakfast so can't tell anything re quality of the food…
