FAQs about hotels in Boston

Where Everybody Knows Your Name

One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.

The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.

The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.

Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.

The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

We came to Boston to attend a concert at the MGM venue.

We came to Boston to attend a concert at the MGM venue. We spent two days seeing the sites but that was not enough to take in everything. What we did see was worth the time. We took the Hop-on Hop-off trolly tour, but it would have been less expensive and more convenient if we had used the Uber or Lyft rides and this would have allowed even more time to enjoy the sites we visited. We also attended an unplanned tour of Harvard University. I my opinion this is overrated. The young lady (Anie) who was our tour guide did a great job, but they were doing yard cleanup with machinery and a lot of what she said we couldn't even hear.

Boston is so accessible, I loved it!

Boston is so accessible, I loved it! I’m not used to being able to walk anywhere so having so much right outside the door of the hotel tickled me to death. I wiped exploring their transit options, trying many many cocktails in the pubs, and enjoyed some amazing food. I really love Boston and I’ll definitely be back. Preferably when it’s a bit warmer.

Great City for a weekend break, great restaurants, shops and sightseeing opportunities. The Prudential Tower View is excellent day, sunset and night. Shame that Massachusetts has legalised Cannabis as the city does smell constantly of it and in public toilets.

Boston is a clean city that for the most part is very friendly. We come from a very small country town so it was a new experience for us. I was nervous about driving in the city but people were pleasant and I didnt have any issues except the hotel we stayed in.

Boston is full of surprises, if you stay in SeaPort you can get the Silver line bus for free from Logan airport to 4 different stops in Seaport. We really loved the T, it was easy to use, and super efficient to get around town. We walked all through Boston Commons and saw a lot of Historical monuments. The food in the Italian North End is terrific, we went back 2 times in 4 days. The Sam Adams lounge was also a hit by Government Center and F.Hall. The restaurant Coquette in Omni Hotel was exquisite, and fun to dine at. We loved the Museum of Fine Arts Boston! We found Boston to be preferable to NYC, it's clean, easy, and felt safe.

It was my first time visiting Boston.

It was my first time visiting Boston. There are tons of places to eat and to ship at. My daughters took me to a few shops I'm looking forward to visiting again. My favorite stop was our visit to the Science Museum. It's an absolute must-go if you visit Boston. There was so much to learn and interact with. My toddler had an awesome time, we adults did too! The city itself is really nice and we enjoyed walking and rolling around the downtown area. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be going back to visit other places that peaked our interests.

The property is very convenient to Boston commons and other popular spots. we felt like we were right in the middle of everything. The apartment was clean. and we liked having the extra living/kitchen space compared to most hotel rooms. As expected for a downtown apartment, the bathroom was small. We felt very safe in the area and there was a security guard in the lobby every night after 11 pm which we felt wasn’t needed at all, but nice added comfort. I would highly recommend if you’re staying in Boston!

Location excellent. Walkable to all main sites: downtown, China town, Theatre district, Port, North End, Charlseton, Back Bay, South End. On main road find excellent restaurants that stayed open past 10pm. Use app SpotHero to save on parking...well worth it. Best breakfast is at Capital Coffee House. This hotel is not a 4 star because the rooms need upgrading: beds need to be queen not double, bathrooms outdated, doors need to be changed & carpetting is not clean in rooms, prefer wood floors.

We love staying here after long flights. The harbor view from the room was spectacular. The rooms are huge and comfy. The restaurant is excellent. The staff are super-friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the airport with a continuous shuttle service. I you want, the water taxi to downtown Boston is right outside the door.  It's not exactly cheap, but the price is quite reasonable considering the room, view, location and restaurant. The best location for a short stay in Boston. The Silver line from the airport which is free (inbound) stops at 'Court House' which when you exit to the street is less than 50 feet to the front door of the hotel. The hotel is very modern, with a gym, and a rooftop bar. It is located in the very nice Seaport area but is also only a 12 minute walk to Boston South Station. The bed was sensational, the bathroom ultra modern with towel warming racks, good lighting and plenty of hot water.

With a few exceptions, airport hotels are utilitarian at best. The Hyatt at Boston Harbor is a wonderful hotel that is at a major airport. The staff is great, rooms are very comfortable, and the public areas inviting. The restaurant has a small menu but the food is very good and they have a nice wine list, reasonably priced. This was our second stay at the Hyatt and it was just as good as the first visit.

It was excellent value for money compared to hotels closer to the centre. The beds were very comfortable and rooms clean. The pool was closed as it was November but it must look lovely in the summer months. Breakfast was adequate with hot sausage and egg and porridge. plenty of choice of breads and waffles and some fruit. Approx 30 mins drive from airport in hire car.

I had the most phenomenal view of the Back Bay skyline all from the comfort of my bed. After a sound sleep in my comfy king bed, I sipped my coffee in bed while enjoying the best views in Boston. 5 stars in my book and only a quarter of the cost of other hotels in the city.
