Prefer the other end of Summerstrand that is less busy … our walk along the beachfront Saturday afternoon was spoilt by litter and drinking and didn’t feel that safe … but we are from Durban so are used to this. The weather was a bit bad that weekend but nothing could take our smiles away. We felt safe walking and even on the beach. I've never seen such clean streets and sidewalks and beach! Well done to every person who is involved in keeping it clean. Everyone we met was so friendly, from staff where we stayed to people on the street. Everyone jogging in mornings and I'm so thankful that my first time alone with my little girl was such a fantastic experience for her and me! Not enough space to type everything and wished I could download our feelings for everyone to see what a great time we had!Roux - 10Scored 10
Summerstrand is a clean and safe place.
Summerstrand is a clean and safe place. The beach is clean with a little pool which is fed by the breaking of waves over the rocks, where children can play in. There is a place "Something good" where one can have breakfast and lunch on the beachfront.Juline - 4.0Scored 4.0
It was rundown.
It was rundown. I was shocked at the state of where we stayed in PE. Sadly there are homeless people everywhere and we got approached by beggars while sitting on the stoep. I did not expect to see so many empty and broken buildings.

It's the nicest suburb to stay at in PE.
It's the nicest suburb to stay at in PE. Best beaches, restaurants, classy accommodation. Eat at LA Kouzina - Brooke's Pavilion. Sundowners at Something Good. Stay at any BNB there. You'll be happy.Jane
