This is NOT a lodge . It is a very old rundown MOTEL of barely 2 stars. Nothing to like. Noisy, smelly and old rooms. Terrible decor from 1970s.

One night stay prior to going into Skoki Lodge. Check-in was quick and easy. Close to Lake Louise mall for last minute food and sundries. Peyto cafe onsite was really handy with great food at reasonable prices - house salad was fresh and crisp, chilli was hearty. Communal kitchen in basement was bright and well-equipped, with 3 big fridges and bins to label and put your food in. Easy check-out; storage facility for luggage in basement area, with locks available to buy ($8) onsite.

Overrated place. Very old lodge that should be remodelled ten year ago. The standard of the room was 2/10 comparing to the price. Once in your live you can visit this place, but if you don’t live in Calgary you rather won’t come back. There are dozens of such places in Alps in Europe. The restaurant is ok, but nothing more.

Comfortable and very friendly staff. Kudos to Marlon Sulit, general manager of the lodge. Excellent service from breakfast to room accommodation throughout our stay.

The lodge was very clean and very comfortable. We love that the sheets were so fresh and new, towels as well. The bathtub was the cleanest one we have ever seen in any hotels or lodges. The bathroom was also very clean and proper. Staff were lovely and left a birthday card for our daughter. Thank you!

Exclusivity of the lodges, especially in the evening and early morning. Having such an incredible area, mostly to yourself for those time periods is epic!

Loved the location, being so close to Lake Louise it was nice to not fight for parking and easily walk up to the lake. The charm of the place was what was expected, a very quaint old European ski lodge. The shower and bed were appreciated after two days of car camping. The breakfast included was a nice touch, very unkept though, busy and many tables were dirty.

Stayed in the family room for 5 and it was spacious and comfortable. 2 queen beds and 1 sofa bed met our needs perfectly. Breakfast provided was better than we expected and well done. We were there in early May and the lodge was not fully booked so we enjoyed having it less crowded. Location is close to Lake Louise and the hiking trails around town. I believe it is one of the less expensive lodges in Lake Louise but it is perfectly adequate accomodations. I would be surprised if anyone finds it disappointing.

Amazing location, super helpful and friendly staff and happy to help with any questions about different things to do nearby. Dinner was delicious and everything was well done to Covid safety. The history of deer lodge was well kept and we enjoyed our stay! Great value for the location and close to trails and Lake Louise! Not sure why there are bad reviews, I think people need to be more appreciative of this lodges history! Thank you to the team for making us feel very welcome
