Excellent host with much to say about Oakhurst, Yosemite, California, and more if you want to chat, yet very conscious of your privacy and never insists or intrudes whatsoever - excellent communication via booking.com's messaging facility. A beautiful house on above a gently flowing river, a short drive from Oakhurst, a town not far from Yosemite National Park (about an hour by car to the Valley). A generous room with the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in, an excellent, well-equipped bathroom, and all in total silence. Really nice view over the river (if the room is available) - it rained/snowed heavily while we were there, and were delighted to enjoy the peace of this room during it.

Our room was just amazing. I frequently stay in London and pay 4 times the amount for a room 1/4 of the size that's nowhere near as clean and tidy and so full of facilities. En suite/microwave/fridge/coffee/heating! The beds are so comfy too. The staff here are so friendly and accommodating. My partner and I had a lovely conversation with the receptionist. We'd highly recommend anyone visiting Yosemite to stay here!

The location was great (we got picked up from the lodge for our tour) and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The fireplace in the lounge and access to tea, coffee, hot chocolate and the microwave anytime was really appreciated. The breakfast was very good and even included a hot sausage and egg roll!
