Clean rooms and nice linen. One of very few hotels in the area. The staff were friendly and the room had space and many practicalities. The curtains are good block outs and the room was quiet and peaceful. I like the bar downstairs and the shops and restaurants nearby - quite convenient. Overall, pretty good value for money.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast on the first morning, not so on the second day. Lots of food items ran out, no lids for teapots. Car park covered as we entered car registration on system.
On arrival after our 5 hours road journey Our party received a warm greeting from the duty receptionist Sheena who made us feel at home, relaxed and who guided us through registration then ushered us to our rooms which were spick, span and comfortable. My traditional breakfast was well presented and tasty my partners omelette was exceptional. My casual request at reception for local information resulted in a detailed location map being produced and given to me thereby enabling me to easily guide our party to our destination.
A historic 16th century former mill with old world charm of oak beams and vaulted ceilings in the bar area. Accommodation on the lower ground floor accessed by corridors with low ceilings and overhead beams (if you’re over 5’10” tall make sure you duck!) Decor to rooms is best described as Victorian Expedition with a touch of ‘steam punk’ - very quirky! Staff were chatty, friendly and welcoming, breakfast was delicious and well presented. The pub is ‘off the beaten track’ down a narrow country lane and is located by a large lake.
It is difficult to identify a positive attribute. If I had to identify something in particular, the car park was close to reception and the room at the back of the hotel helped with reduced road noise. There is little else to add.
Rooms were a good size, very clean and airy, facilities were very good, Staff were very helpful. Good variety for breakfast.Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Linfield Marriott.
Breakfast was included and it was lovely! The family room was huge and had a nursing chair which was unexpected and so helpful as we had a baby. The toilet was low, easy for toddlers/children to use. Check in was quick and easy as well as registering our car for free car parking. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The only highlight about our stay was the location, which was superb, and the Sales Manager's work ethics. She seemed to the the only person actually working around there and having a positive attitude about it. Too bad I can't remember her name but I know she comes from the US - if you read this, Madam, you deserve to be working in the Marriott or something like that. Your work ethic is simply too good for that place.
fantastic property. parking awkward as you have to register to use their car park
