Feeling of 5 stars hotel inside rather than simple motel (as it's outside look). We have corner room, so quite and looking towards the forest, with a little balcony. Outskirt of city, tranquil feeling but close to all Monterey attractions. Loved Pacific Grove with its 100 yo preserved houses and 10 min drive to the beautiful coastal hikes. Start from Lover Point, pass Kissing rocks towards John Denver Memorial. Very nice place!

The bed, windows, and main flooring also appeared to be relatively new. Everything was exceptionally clean. Screened windows on the front and back (plus a multi-speed ceiling fan) allowed for great air flow. In-room Mr. Coffee and mini refrigerator. Large screen TV. Very strong free WiFi. Great location. Great value. This is your basic, minimum-frills motel done right!
