Pleasant and extremely quiet bedroom with air conditioning and regular changing of towells, soap, and sheets. Polite and helpful hotel staff. Two desktop PCs with free internet access in very ornate 'Salon'. Pleasant terrace area for drinks and relaxation. Reception open all night if you're returning late from a night out. Overall the Hotel Granvia is a very good hotel appearing smarter on the website than its rooms actually are inside (although the 'Salon' was very ornate and had 2 PCs with free internet access). However, whilst most of the hotel staff were polite there were a few downsides: i) the safe in our wardrobe had no key, hence was completely unsecure and gave us no safe place for our valuables; ii) the rooms weren't anywhere near as ornate as suggested by the website with very un-Spanish English fox-hunting pictures above the beds; iii) hotel staff were polite but not overly friendly and appeared unsure of themselves on a couple of occasions, e.g. momentarily losing our room key and then finding it again; and when checking out were unsure of whether the credit card transaction was for payment or simply guarantee; iv) breakfast was EUR 11.7 which is £10 and overly expensive if you only want a cheap and simple breakfast. Nevertheless, overall I would certainly recommend this hotel. |

The hotel is in a fantastic location (very central & with good transport links). It has quite a spectacular interior and a lovely terrace from the lounge. The double rooms are a good size. Free internet access from 3 computers in the public areas. The staff are very friendly & helpful in general, but particularly in a crisis. Rooms at front of hotel subject to traffic noise from the main road. Breakfast quite good but a little on the expensive side for what it is. Nothing to do with the hotel but would just like to mention beware of pick-pockets & bag thieves and do not wear expensve jewellrey when you go out....keep your wits about you & your belongings.... |

The only thing that I liked to this hotel was the location. It is central. The hotel has very small room, like 10 square metre, it has old furniture. The floor looks very bad, the tv didn't work. The bathroom is also very small. |

Hotel location is very good, close to Placa de Catalunya and Metro. The hotel lobby and salon were impressive. we found the beds not comfortable. The hot water supply was erratic - turning from warm to steaming hot alternately at a faucet setting. |

The staff of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the city's main communication hub (Plaza Catalunya). The overall appearance of hotel I find very nice. The room was a bit noisy. I could hear underground trains and people from surrounding rooms. |

Excellent location, very quaint decor, helpful staff, quite area. Our room was an interior room and very small - which made it a bit hot and stuffy. |

Well situated, just off the Placa Catalunya. Very nice public areas. Excellent breakfast buffet. Simply furnished, but comfortable, room. Good value for money. |
