Останавливался в отеле в конце октября - в примыкающем вплотную к отелю зданию идет ремонт. В 8-30 строительные рабочие включают отбойный молоток. Успевайте к этому времени уехать на экскурсию. Шумоизоляция с улицей очень хорошая, с коридором - как обычно - горничных слышно..Месторасположение очень хорошее, как Тверская в районе Пушки - все рядом. Метро Площадь Испании через один дом, в котором русский балет, также рядом по улице другие театры-мюзиклы. До Королевского дворца минут 15 пешком, до площади Sol так же. До остановки туристического автобуса красной линии метров 70-80.. Мини-бар free - пополняется напитками каждый день. Wi-Fi плохой, сигнал низкий или отсутствует. За письменным столом не ловился, приходилось ставить журнальный столик с лэптопом в прихожую - там связь была лучше, хотя все равно часто обрывалась. Так билет в Толедо на поезд на сайте Renfe брать не рискнул, стоял на вокзале в очереди как ненормальный. Перед заселением номер плохо убирался - на следующий день после заселения обнаружил прилипшую к умывальнику жевательную резинку от предыдущих жильцов. Утюг - не пользовался - подошва утюга была сожжена предыдущими жильцами - сфотографировал - показал менеджеру на ресепшен - тот покивал головой - обещал поменять - я 5 ночей прожил - не поменял. Я заказывал номер для некурящих - однако в номере было прожженное сигаретой кресло - неприятно. |

Жили на 9 этаже. Номер 902 просторный, удобный, хорошее освещение. Большой санузел, есть ванная, биде; сантехника и отделка в отличном состоянии. Хорошая звукоизоляция номера. Кровати удобные, большие, пультом меняется наклон матраса. Отличное месторасположение отеля, до основных достопримечательностей можно добраться пешком, в пределах 5-10 минут пешком - четыре станции метро, на котором очень удобно перемещаться по городу. В целом остались очень довольны пребыванием. Порадовал минибар с бесплатными безалкогольными напитками (вода, сок, пепси). Зона СПА интересная, но нуждается в обновлении отделки. Мебель в номере тоже довольно старая, есть потертости, царапины, но все в рабочем состоянии, так что "не напрягало". На завтрак не было горячих блюд, что было проблемой для мужа. В период пребывания у меня был день рождения, но никакого поздравления от отеля не последовало. Нет русского TV канала, из новостных на англ. только CNN. |

found the location excellent, our room was very clean and the facilites in the room such as the free soft drink mini bar and free safe was an added bonus. location was great for shopping and touring the city, i would recommend this hotel too anyone going to madrid for a city break. only thing i didnt like about hotel was the bar/cafe area. thought there would have been a nice residents bar with it being a four star hotel. |

The location was great and right on Gran Via. Shopping, restaurants, and metro stops all around. Great access to everything. Within walking distance to many sights. Did not like that the two beds were squished into the room for the family room but I had read about this so wasn't as shocked as we would have been. Older motel and furnishings were older but clean. |

The very conveniant closeness to all facilities like all kind of amusements, culture, shopping good restaurents, in fact all. It was possible to get any help when needed, i.e. the reception arranged a doctor directly when my wife needed it, excellentRelax Nothing, very pleasant |

The spa was fun but wouldn't pay full price for it - luckily it's half price on Wednesdays & Sundays and lunchtimes everyday! Rooms were clean, facilities were good and staff were helpful and friendly. Good location within easy reach of main tourist attractions. The views from our room across Madrid's skyline were great - we were on the 11th floor - rooms on the 10th appeared to have balconies - this would have been an added bonus. Some minor things only: I did not like having to pay extra for breakfast but this was not a problem as we ate in local bakeries for a fraction of the price instead. I also did not like only having one pillow but this is usual in alot of hotels. Finally I did not like the noise the cleaners made - their storeroom / office was next to our room and they made a racket every morning going in and out of it - despite our do not disturb sign on the door - but this was just unfortunate I guess. It's a shame entry to the spa is not free for guests of the hotel - we might have been more inclined to try some treatments if it had been. |

We stayed for 5 nights at Senator, in a short vacation trip. The location of the hotel is excellent, 2 mins walk to the Plaza de Espana metro station, close to city attractions and shopping centers. The room was big and nice, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is a 4* one, we liked it very much. It has spa and massage facilities but we didn't try them. We didn't like that there was very much noise in the hotel especially in the morning. We were in vacation and had to rest, but we woke up every morning at 8AM because of the incredible construction noise (I believe the hotel was in renovation, even if we could not see that). It was unpleasant that they started the works at 8AM sharp and we didn't receive any information about it or apologize from the hotel staff. We would have appreciated at least to be informed about it, I believe that when you rent rooms while the hotel is renovated the customers should be informed about this at least, maybe as courtesy they should have discounted the room price or at least put a note in the rooms apologizing for inconvenience. |

Room large, modern and clean. Location great, close access to Metro, shopping, nightlife and attractions Breakfast buffet good, Light switches were very complicated and inconvenient. Key cards had to be reprogrammed three times during stay, apparently very sensitive? |

The room was good size and free mini bar was nice. Also the breakfast was very good. TV signal reception was terrible and it would switch itself off after a few seconds, although I was told I should have called the hotel maintenance people who would have fixed it. Also no international or satellite channels but only five Spanish channels. |

Spa was wonderful - a real treat, (Cant believe other reviews say different) its fab!! Balcony nice, location great and staff very nice. Free minibar with cold drinks a nice touch Room was very small however we did request a balcony and the rooms with balconies tend to be small, room a bit dated, old furniture, torn wallpaper, flooring damaged - definately needs an upgrade. Balcony gave more feel of space but not sure if deserving of 4 star |

The staff were as helpful as they could be - mostly, depending on who you spoke to. The room was a good standard, clean and comfortable. The central location was good. The spa was terrible and made worse by the fact that it wasn't free and closed a lot of the time, like other advertised facilities (gym, bar). There was no hotel information (about checkout times, facilities) in the room. |
