Hotel Areca

It was nice and quiet, the beds were good and the bathroom well appointed. Staff were helpful and efficient.

Yes: We were only staying that one night as we had a very early flight to catch, but we could not have any dinner as the restaurant would not open until 9 pm! That is too late when you have to get up at 3:45 am to get to the airport in time. I would guess we aren't the only ones with this problem.

The environment, the closeness to the airport, nice rooms, great staff, short stay though

The beds, should be one big in stead of 2 small put together, irritating if you want to jump in the bed or something like that

Clean, modern, quiet hotel. Cafeteria is also good

Being at the edge of Torellano it feels like you are staying in a ghost town from the old western movies... too sleepy!

We booked a "bungalow" and it was not a bungalow. Accommodation on two floors, with bedrooms open plan with just a curtain separating!

This is a very nice, modern hotel within very easy access of Alicante airport by bus or taxi. Unfortunately, we did not have time to explore its various facilities. However, the bar/cafeteria was open all day and the waiter kindly made us each a lovely salad even though officially there was no food service available at the time we were there.

This is not something that we minded but it might be a consideration for other people: the bathroom facilities afforded very little privacy. There was a frosted glass door separating the toilet. The shower stall and basin had no separation from the room itself. Perhaps we missed a hidden, secret sliding door somewhere.........

Location was conveniently near Alicante airport

The hotel was clean, well presented and near to the airport. The area was reasonably quiet and there was a supermarket and local shops nearby. There is a very pleasant outdoor restaurant / patio to the rear with reasonable value basic food.

It should be noted that this hotel is in a development a short distance from the airport and is therefore not in Alicante itself. Therefore it is fine for a nights stay on business or stop over following a flight but not I would suggest for a long holiday.

Facilities, especially the pool and sauna

Staff were pleasant and helpful and facilities where fine. Outside garden was pleasant and relaxing.

For a modern building we experienced high noise levels from people in other rooms and from along the hallway from 3 am onwards. Obviously the building materials were not up to the task of sound proofing.

Parking charge for secure parking

Stayed for one night before a flight - very conveniently located near the airport, clean, modern design, accommodating staff.

This didn't bother us, but there was no door on the bathroom, just a glass door on the toilet - some may not feel comfortable with this.

Closeness to the airport

The service staff and reception staff were not very friendly or flexible.
