We used the hotel as a stop off on a very long journey home. The staff were amazing, from checking in to departure. The room we had, had been renovated, it was beautiful, very clean room, comfy bed, what more can you ask for?! We had our dog with us, and the hotel were very dog friendly, there were 4 other dogs in the bar at night, superb! The food was absolutely amazing! Really good service, the barman was really friendly, and took his time to Welcome us, and serve us. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stephen and his mum run a very friendly hotel. He has done a good design job for the refurbishment of the rooms. He also engages well with the guests in a manner so many venues have lost the trick for. It is dog friendly and works very well.

Nice comfortable hotel with all the amenities you need. Breakfast was excellent as was our bar menu meal. Staff were very friendly and one of them even offered to walk our dog for us which we were delighted with. Location is perfect for access to A74M. The room was clean the bed was comfortable and as we had an en suite we were self contained the shower was excellent as was the water pressure which is sometimes a bit poor in many hotels.

Excellent location for a few days stay or if you're just looking for a stop over travelling North or South. Limited selection of food but what was available was well cooked with generous portions and at very reasonable cost. Dog friendly in all areas except the restaurant, but as meals could be taken in the bar, then this wasn't a problem.

We stayed at the hotel enroute to the east coast of Scotland - hotel is located just off the motorway so convenient for a break. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked a return visit. Parking to rear. Staff very friendly. Room clean, a good size and comfortable. Very dog friendly - separate room in the bar at breakfast for dog owners - we both enjoyed the breakfasts. The hotel seemed busy with overnight guests.
