The Nisanyan Hotel is a unique place--tucked away on a winding mountain road, it's an Inn plus some lovely cottages. The grounds are beautiful- with lovely views of the little town below, fruit trees ripe for the picking (it was August), flowers growing alongside every path, a marble swimming pool, and the sense that you are at kind of a luxury farm. The sound of the donkey's braying, the goats, the horses, and the opera always playing softly in the dining area are some of my fondest memories.
