Luxembourg
Plaka House is worth recommending for many reasons. The host is very friendly and responsive, we did not have any communication problems throughout our stay, and he did his best to make us feel comfortable. The property is very clean, including the kitchen, the toilet and the shower (I am a very sensitive person in relation to hygene, and these are the things I always check first when I enter a new property - absolutely no issues here). We also appreciated the fresh white towels and bed linen changed during our stay, the fresh fruit and the wine. The view on the bay is amazing! It is also important that you have enough privacy, unlike in an apartment. The location was easy to find, as the host provided us with exact location details. The bed might be a little narrow for two persons (if both are XL size), but this was already mentioned in reviews by other guests and was not an issue for us personally, we had enough space for both of us. The house is also very close to a nice restaurant and a mini market, about 5-7 minutes on foot. Our return flight was late in the evening, but the host allowed us to stay after the check-out time without any extra charge. Thank you, Panagiotis, we will definitely return!

The villa was much more beautiful than the we tought, and the view n the ocean was breathtaking. All we needed for during our stay was in place. There's a couple of mini markets a short 10 minute walk away. Michalis (the property manager) was there to great us on our arrival, give us some advices on places to go and eat as well say goodby on our departure. We have nothing than good things to say about our experience!

Owners came with keys and lovely cake to welcome me. When a storm left a lot of leaves in the beautioful pool owner was quick to take care of that. Great service.

Soula was a wonderful host: she met us at the villa, showed us where everything was and also provided advice on things to do. She was on hand for questions and responded very quickly throughout our stay. The property is one of the nicest we’ve stayed at, with everything you need and lovely views out to the bay and sunsets. The swimming pool is a good size and there is a lot of very comfortable poolside furniture to sprawl on. The billiards table and table football in the downstairs gym were an added bonus and used every day. Plaka is small but has a welcoming atmosphere and good restaurants a ten minute walk from the villa. We also walked down to Almyrida beach (about 25 mins or a five minute drive) which has also lovely restaurants right by the sea. Chania is about 30 mins drive if you have a car. The villa is also well positioned for visits to Aptera archaeological site. We loved our stay and would definitely book with Soula again.

The location is great, in a calm area, but within walking distance of a few supermarkets and good restaurants (and also the beach in Almyrida).

The owner was more than helpful, and very kind as she arranged pick up and drop offs to the airport . The location was in a quiet village which suited my mother . The location is generally quiet and the view from the restaurant terrace is great. Our accommodation was fine, with plenty of space. The short walk up to the village centre, for our evening meals, was quite acceptable.
