In a word: everything. The building and facilities, though under some renovation (with only mild disturbance), were clean, well-presented and well-maintained and incredibly charming and quaint. The location was fantastic, only a 3 minute walk to the main tourist area and with fantastic views of the same. I found the staff members to be professional yet warm, friendly and generous with their time and efforts to help make my first visit to Salvador (and Brasil) both enjoyable and memorable. In fact, staying at the Pousada felt more like being with close friends or family and I looked forward to going "home" every night. As well, when I return to Salvador soon, I will book a room with my new Pousada family.…
