Loved Quebec! Stayed at a wonderful B&B in Old Quebec. Great walkable city. I live in Florida and the snow was a most welcome change. I must say that the local were some of the friendliest I've met anywhere in the world. Favorable exchange rate for U.S. travelers and all-in-all a memorable trip. I traveled alone and felt safe and welcome anywhere I went...
Quebec City was absolutely charming! Loved it and will absolutely go back, if not even just for the food!! ;) (Maison Smith, Lapin Saute, and SSS to name a few!) Kassandra with the Promenades Fantômes ghost tour was great!
Quebec City is always our go to city for a change of pace and scenery. A world heritage site that is so easily accessible and beyond Fabulous. We ate dinner at Le Lapin sauté situated in le Petit Champlain area and as usual the service and food are a 10/10. It’s easy to get around by walking everywhere. You can either walk busy streets like la rue St Jean or avoid people ad walk thru the Plains of Abraham. Who could ask for better!
I loved Quebec City. It is a little on the expensive side like most places in Canada, but it was a great place to visit with children. Would definitely love to visit again.
We went to Quebec City for a long weekend, It was the closing weekend of Carnival. Just an excellent trip, the locals were very welcoming and the food was terrific. Definitely will go back.
Quebec is not a boring city! There was plenty to see and investigate in depth. The food culture was quite varied and interesting. We found a few gems—places to eat and drink—while we were out and about. We stayed within walking distance of shopping and the historic districts and were rewarded with plenty of curiosities. The art in the large number of galleries in the old city were a source of inspiration for my own art and photography.
We went to the Falls, the island d 'Orleans, visited the Cathedral. These places were a quick drive from our hotel and were well marked and easy to find. We shopped at the small shops by the Frontenac, visited the fields of Abraham and the museum of the 7 year war. We ate at a number of wonderful The Hobbit was so good we had dinner there twice in our short stay. Their service was superb. We did not have a bad meal or poor service in any place that we stopped. We did a lot of walking in Old Quebec, the vernicular was a blessing with all of the steps.
Old Quebec is beautiful - charming, quaint, historical. Lots to take in incl a look at the Chateau Frontenac both in- and outside. People very friendly. Check out some of the local bakeries and Patisseries for breakfast or a snack during the day.
Loved our visit to Quebec’s city. Took a sightseeing tour and a tour to the Island of Orleans.Walking tours should also be fun. Lots of interesting places to visit. Really enjoyed our short trip to Quebec City.
Quebec City is rich with history. It's a beautiful place and easy to get around. Do yourself a favor and sign up for a non touristy tour so you can find out more about the city. Also, find the revolving restaurant for lunch - incredible views and great food.
Montreal
Our 2 bedroom apartment was spacious enough for our family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids age 9 and 2) and the kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to prepare simple meals. The beds were comfortable. The streaming device on the TV made was appreciated during our down time, and the space was complete with a washer and dryer which was useful to travel light: (we packed 1 medium suitcase for the 4 of us for 6 days/5 nights in the spring in Québec, Canada which means layers are necessary!). The location was great for us!
location is very good, only a 2-3 mins walk to Fairmount Hotel (center of Quebec old city), Staffs are helpful and nice and polite, complimentary coffee available 24hrs. ice-maker available. lobby is cozy. Bed is comfortable and the room is clean and spacious, first impression when I entered the room is "feels like home", though no view in the room, practically opposite of the other building. shower water pressure is strong enough (sometimes some hotels' is weak)
Stunning, exceptionally clean and well-appointed boutique hotel. We were especially impressed by all of the amenities offered in our room's kitchenette, and the utmost comfort of the bed. We had such a peaceful night's sleep after a long journey. All of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel is within walking distance of all of the beautiful sights of Old Quebec, and there are so many dining options in the vicinity as well.
Superb location within the fortified city walls! Beautiful neighborhood. Central to the touristy zone of Quebec City. The Hotel is in a beautiful old building. Rooms are well decorated with feature stone walls. Floors creak and are crooked, as you would expect in a 180yr old building. This is a small hotel and you get a personable service. You might be able to get a parking spot if you ask ahead, and for an honest price which is rare in this area of town.
Quebec City
The Maison Kent is absolutely a delight and the apartments are beautiful! I will be returning to this same hotel for my next visit. The location is right where I wanted to be and so convenient to everything because it is right behind the Hotel Frontenac so you are near the great restaurants, parks, funicular, and all of the best sights of Quebec City. This was not my first time to Quebec City and ended a cruise there this time.
Hotel is not new but well maintained. Breakfast is very good for this class of hotels. At least much better than in another Comfort Inn - Edmonton Comfort Inn - where we also stayed during our trip in Canada. Hotel located directly on the Rt 138 2-3 miles before the intersection with Rt 389 driven from Quebec City. McDonalds and Tim Hortons are nearby. The old town and ferry terminal 5-7 miles further down
Hotel was lovely, was not expecting it to be as great as it was! The location was very easy for walking around Quebec city. Loved the fact they even provided a bath robe - it was however absolutely ginormous, so perhaps having a slightly smaller option would be great! The later check out at 12 was also very nice, as it allowed us to go and have a nice breakfast on the morning we left.
Regarding the quality of the room and restaurant service and cleanness, the price is too high compared to Hotel Quality Inn that I tried while returning to Montreal at Levis near Quebec City. I paid almost half for the Hotel Quality Inn; however, if we rate the luxury, cleanness, and modernity of the Hotel Quality Inn at 8/10, the Hotel Tadusac, I would rate 2/10.
Right in the heart of Old Quebec City and directly across the street from the famous Fairmont Frontenac Hotel, it's a charming, tourist-friendly hotel, and perfect for one or two nights (especially if, like us, you're joining a cruise ship). Also, the local tourist office is in the same building, so quite convenient. Steps from EVERYTHING you'd want to see.
Breakfast was good. We also used the fitness room and appreciated the natural light that came in though the large windows. We go to a restaurant that is less than 10 minute walk from the hotel making the location perfect for us. Also like the quick access to the highway as we come from Toronto and continue on the Quebec City the next day.
Beautiful room and view of old Quebec. Very comfortable bed. Hotel bar is lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is one block from the Old City and two blocks from Rue St. Jean which has an excellent bakery (Epi Fanny) and restaurants and shops. Public parking lot is across the street. The location is ideal for exploring the city.
Saint-Férréol-les-Neiges
Lisa and Pat where excellent hosts. Lisa gave us a great recommendations about hiking in the surrounding area and restaurants in Quebec. We followed her advise to the T and had a great time. They have a farm not far from the Hotel with beautiful horses that we had a pleasure interacting with. The food served was also excellent.
Quebec City
The location was perfect, so easily to walk to all the big sites and an easy Uber ride from the airport. Check in was easy and the front desk staff was fabulous, especially Rachel! Apartment super clean, spacious, washer and dryer included with stocked kitchen for easy stay. Will stay again when we are back in Quebec City!
The location of the hotel is perfect as it is in the heart of the Old Quebec City, across from a lovely park, water views and steps from shops and restaurants as well as convenient parking close by. The hotel has the old charm look on the outside, but the inside is modern, clean and has all the amenities we would need.
Quebec City
Apartment large, as described with high quality appliances. Quiet and comfortable, and warm in the cold December temperatures of our visit. The location was perfect for exploring Old Quebec. Also close to train and bus station for exploring further afield. Will recommend it to any friends planning to visit Quebec.
Location and new recent hotel, near Montmorency Falls and Ile d'Orleans. Cleanliness, breakfast included and comfortable King size view with view of river. TV channel service. No french Radio Canada news. Some channels like CNN and Tele Quebec, worked OK for a while, then disappeared later at night?
We researched many options for our first visit to Quebec. Accommodations were the primary focus. We decided to stay at Hotel 71 due to the location. What an amazing home base!! We explored Old Quebec City everyday including rainy days because Hotel 71 provides umbrellas for use by their guests.
Hotel uses its splendid location on the shore to its fullest, with many rooms as well as the common areas looking out onto the lake. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, one could easily spend several days here. Free parking space in front and easily accessible from Montréal and Quebec City.
Lévis
Location was excellent! It is an easy drive from Toronto. The view from our room was picturesque . You can see the Hotel Frontenac across the river in the distance. Food at the local Restaurant, Le Corsair was delicious and service was top notch. It’s an excellent way to see Quebec City!
It was a clean Hotel and I like the location. It was a bit far from old Quebec. However, there were lots of good choices around to enjoy evening and nights as it was close to many resturants and bars! Hotel tried to give good Covid breakfast experience which I appreciated.
