The family-owned 5-star Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern is located right in the Old Town of Lucerne, next to the lake. It offers a spa area and elegant rooms with modern furniture. Beautiful elegant hotel well situated. Grand old hotel with all modern conveniences. Beautiful lobby and service was great except problems with repeated demagnetized key cards. Modern and well appointed rooms with large bathroom with separate tub and shower. Bed was comfortable. Nice little touches with complementary nuts, muffin and chocolates. Breakfast was fantastic with everything available. Elegant bar and dining room for breakfast. Nice patio outside to overlook Lake Lucerne. Overall little to complain about and much to laud. A true 5 star hotel.

Located in the centre of Adligenswil, Hotel Rössli is just 5 km from Lucerne. It offers a traditional Swiss restaurant and individually designed rooms with free Wi-Fi and wired internet access. The owner of the guest house Susy and Markus were so hospitable. They made sure that their guest needs were taken care of. Btw, their staff Gesila is friendly, too. I stayed in the attic room and the view was amazing especially the church bell ringing every 30 minutes added uniqueness to someone's travel experience. If you want to experience staying on a countryside and Swiss hospitality, I would definitely recommend Landgasthof Hotel Rossli.
