Hotel Rural Abadía de Yuste is a unique building from the 16th century located in the historic-artistic town of Cuacos de Yuste. It preserves its original wooden ceilings and clay flooring. We had a delightful welcome, after an outstanding and breathtaking drive through Vera. There was a mutual delight in using Google Translate to assist our settling in. Having already eaten our main meal of the day before arrival, we did not dine in their award winning restaurant (but we wished we had). A good reason to visit again. Breakfast next morning was outstanding. This is a gem of a hotel, and is worth a considerable detour if you are not too far from Caucos de Yuste.

This country house is located in the village of Pasarón de la Vera, 30 minutes’ drive from Plasencia. It offers an outdoor pool and charming, air-conditioned rooms with a TV. personnel was really very friendly, the food was excellent and the swimming pool was a treat. I also loved eating outside in the lovely courtyard. Beautiful house! And very peaceful and quiet.

El Turcal is design hotel set in a 19th-century barn, restored with local wood and stone. It offers bright, spacious accommodations, with large gardens and an outdoor swimming pool. Everything looked like the photos, very beautiful, very clean, almost exquisite. Quiet and peaceful. Really cosy and comfortable. I like this kind of nice renovations in old houses were you feel the soul of the construction and then the good taste of the renovation. The owners were nice, mainly the lady, Carmen always with a smile on her face.

Very welcoming, provided great local information. Room for 4 larger than expected, at top of house with fridge and kitchenette with two separate bedrooms perfect for our family of 4. Good breakfast too. We stayed just one night on our way to Portugal but wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, thank you Juan and Rebeca.
