Hôtel Les Maréchaux is housed in a 19th-century mansion located in Auxerre, in a tranquil area surrounded by a private garden and a shady park. My room overlooked a lovely garden. The staff was welcoming, providing a map of Auxerre and helpful with recommendations. Free parking was a bonus, too.

LOGIS HOTEL - Le Relais Saint Vincent is set in a 17th-century building located in Ligny-le-Châtel, 3 km from Pontigny with its abbey. Everything was great. Lovely big room with air-conditioning, very welcome after travelling from the Alps on the motorbike in 30+ degrees. Dinner was delicious.

This hotel is set in a former watermill in the village of Venoy, 9 km from Auxerre. It is surrounded by a garden, and guests are invited to relax on the terrace or in the restaurant. A perfect stop not far from the motorway with access to some wonderful places to visit. This is a gem of a hotel with spacious rooms, a large comfortable bed, a good breakfast, restaurant, good wifi and good car parking. It is a countryside location so quiet for walking the dog and my ground floor room made access easy and also had the benefit of an outside seating area.

We were able to check in late in the evening. There was a driveway to park in. The room was spacious. The toilet and shower was nice and clean.
