This place was a lovely escape to the French countryside. The sounds of the river coming into our bedroom window were so lovely to listen to! And we loved the food.

This splendid hotel must have undergone a complete modernization. The only hint was the residual circular stairways which had been supervened by the excellent elevator system. We were DELIGHTED, as our expectations were so exceeded. There is walled parking and we could see out car from our room. WE have NO reservations in recommending this hotel as absolutely perfect.

Hôtel Les Maréchaux is housed in a 19th-century mansion located in Auxerre, in a tranquil area surrounded by a private garden and a shady park. For a few locations 5 stars raring is not enough, like Hotel Les Marechaux in Auxerre. The beautiful building, the location, the garden are all very nice. But... most remarkable is the atmosphere which is given by the hosts Isabelle and Fabian. Meeting them and you feel immediately welcome. There is no Ibis - or Accor hotel which can come any close to this level. The hotel has many old elements left, so everything remains in style. The rooms are spacious compared to most French hotels. The Wi-Fi is fast. There is enough (free) parking and the breakfast with (local) fruit perfect.
