The extensively-refurbished Bridge House Hotel is set in Grasmere, directly across from St Oswalds Church and the graveyard where William Wordsworth rests. Great room, fabulous patio and garden and wonderful staff. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. This hotel has a home from home feel. Cream teas every afternoon, tea and coffee whenever you want and a small bar if you want alcohol. Guests are allocated their own parking space which is wonderful in this prime location. Next time we are in the Lake District, we will definitely book this delightful hotel. Thanks to all the staff that work in this establishment, we had a fabulous week.

Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Excellent location in Keswick within 10mins walk to Derwentwater lake in one direction and to the high street in the other direction. Lovely view from our second-floor room over the golf course and the lake. Comfortable double bed and nice modern bathroom with strong hot shower. Great cooked breakfast, were not fazed by our request to change the eggs benedict bacon to salmon instead. Parking provided to the rear of the property. Staff were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to sit in their front room and use their Wifi 1400-1500 due to my partner needing to make an urgent work Teams call and the network in the Lake District can be quite spotty! Also very kindly allowed me to make a date change of the booking due to some car issues that prevented me from arriving for the original booked date, although within the non-refundable period on this website at the time.

I loved everything about Cumbrian Lodge. The setting, the room, the hosts, the breakfast were all perfect. There’s loads of parking and the WiFi is excellent. Definitely recommended. La casa si trova di fronte ad un parco/campo sportivo dove i bambini hanno fatto partite interminabili. Con una splendida passeggiata di 15 minuti si può raggiungere il lago a piedi. Ottima posizione per visitare il Lake district.

L’hotel è davvero speciale: immerso nel verde del Lake District è a due passi dal lago e da diverse passeggiate. Ottimo il parcheggio in loco, staff gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. Consigliatissimo anche il ristorante dell’hotel: ottima qualità e tante scelte vegetariane e vegane! Colazione super :) Speriamo di tornare presto!

My wife and I where on a return trip from London and decided to break up the journey with a stop off in the Lake District, have never actually visited the region we were not disappointed, the location is breathtakingly beautiful and the hotel didn’t disappoint us either, on the actual Lake Windermere, we paid a little extra for a view of the lake, the hotel staff and every aspect of our brief 2 night stay in a deluxe room was just brilliant and I would recommend it to everyone. Thanks to the everyone involved at McaDonald Hotels very happy customers

We loved our stay here! What a beautiful part of the world. Amazing building, great rooms and service from the staff. It is right on the lake which is beautiful, and close to the departure for the steam boat. I wish we could have stayed longer.
