Batam is one of the most expensive areas in Indonesia, yet for its size, the island has many malls. This is because of the Singaporea clientele. In general, Batam isn't especially great place to visit. It can be seen thoroughly in one week. Ocarina, the malls and Turi Beach are worth a visit, though the resort is certainly not the most amazing one with view of the ships coming in and out Singapore and Malaysia. Don't drink the goddamn Reed juice at ocarina. 😂
