Locanda Poggioleone is in Pozzuolo, a 10-minute drive from Castiglione del Lago and Lake Trasimeno. It is immersed in nature and offers a garden and an outdoor pool with hot tub. Instead of 2 nights we stayed 5 and based our Tuscan exploration from here as so wonderful! Big thanks to Suzy and Beatrice for their patience and extra help with sorting some things for us. You were wonderful! Michaela is a fantastic chef and recommend the smoked beef and sea bass and breakfasts were lovely. Lorenzo was a great sommelier who made great limoncello spritz! Amazing pool area and beautiful grounds with covered parking and beautiful views of the countryside. Will hopefully return one day from NZ

This boutique, family-run hotel is situated in the beautiful ancient center of Castiglione del Lago, a charming, picturesque village on Trasimeno Lake, in a lush, green part of Umbria. Everything. Very warm host, ample room and bathroom, very clean, and excellent position from which to visit Castiglione del Lago. Parking available near the hotel. Very good breakfast.

Albergo Ristorante da Settimio in San Feliciano has a restaurant and a terrace. The air-conditioned rooms provide a lake view and come with a desk and free WiFi. At the hotel, the rooms have a... Fantastic views over the lake. Great restaurant, serving fish freshly caught from the lake. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Set in its garden with furnished patio and surrounded by the countryside, Le Macerine offers free WiFi throughout and a free swimming pool. The hotel was in a very quiet neighbourhood, but very close to the lake and 10 minutes walk from city center. The room was very spacious and it had a big bed. The room and the bathroom were clean. The bathroom was very complete and comfortable. There was a fridge available. The rooms are actually cabins with the door going outside directly, which is very good for COVID. Breakfast was typical Italian with salty and sweet food that you could select yourself. There were some homemade tasty cakes. The staff was incredible friendly; they recommended us good restaurants around and they helped us contact us the bikes rent place after we could not deliver the bikes on time. The parking is wide and it was enough. The hotel had pool and an area to stay and relax.

Situated on the shores of Lake Trasimeno, Hotel Kursaal is set among extensive gardens. It offers free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV. The property was a perfect place for a retreat! It was beautiful, quiet and close to the town without being in the middle. It was perfect.

The Belvedere is a family-run hotel in Passignano Sul Trasimeno, on a gentle hill 10 minutes' walk from the centre. lt offers an outdoor swimming pool and free parking. It's an family-run hotel, old but very neat and clean. The owner was extremely friendly and welcomed us as very special guests and met all our needs. The breakfast was simple, yet very delicious, including home-made cakes - yummy! It's 10-15 mins walk from the marina, have a pool, free parking, and there's a supermarket nearby.

Residence Al Lago is just 100 metres from Lake Trasimeno and 250 metres from Castiglione del Lago's historic centre. The residence features a large garden with swimming pool. it is so well located and just a relaxing set up - we we're not happy about leaving - it was a perfect base to visit so many places in Umbria and Tuscany
