Karongwe Portfolio - Chisomo Safari Camp overlooks the Makhutsi River and is set in the Big Five Karongwe Game Reserve in Limpopo, South Africa. Glamping tent units were so nice and spacious. Such a cool experience. Guided safaris were great as well and saw so many animals UP CLOSE. Everything was on schedule. Food was fantastic with a huge variety. We never went hungry. Staff were wonderful and wish we had more time to chat with them and other guests.

The hotel is really close to nature: it’s in the middle of a nature reserve and animals are going through. The planning was amazing: 2 safaris of 3 hours each were scheduled every day. We saw all the animals possible (Big 5 several times). Thanks to our best guides: Freddy and Gabriel who made this experience exceptional. In addition, the rooms were beautiful, the food really good and the hotel included 2 pools allowing the guests to relax fully.

Adolph (guide) and Mosco (tracker) worked tirelessly to find us the Big Five, finding a beautiful female leopard and elephants for us on our last morning. I loved how they had to really work to find the animals in the thick bush, so that when we found them it felt like a real reward! And as for the food, you couldn’t go hungry if you tried! Every meal is delicious and there is SO much of it! Don’t search any further, just book. You wont regret it.
