Alpenchalet Flachauer Gutshof was a fantastic place to spend several days in the Salzburg area: the "villas" are clean, spacious, well -furnished, the staff was friendly and helpful. Has a sauna In the upstairs bathroom! Was perfect location for touring the area - we spent one day locally, taking the local ski lift (Starjet) , free when you stay here, and had great hikes and views. We could make day trips to the various attractions and destinations (including Salzburg, Zell am See, Halstatt etc) nothing more than an hour away by car. One evening we attended a musical performance of local musicians in the bar/restaurant, two minute walk from the villa, hearing traditional Austrian music! In short, we didn't want to leave! Also great for families.
