Central location, strong AC, access to kitchen and powerful fridge. Lake view from the kitchen. Drinking water provided. Bedside tables in the room which is a luxury in budget accommodation at these latitudes.
loved the property...vvclean, very high end, you really feel in the jungle while not compromising on luxury. The place is built on a hige land transfomed into a natural path
Extreme hospitability, food was great, views were amazing and the room was perfect (great airco, important in the heat). It felt like a resort. We have travelled quite a bit but both agreed this had been our favourite place so far. One of us had gotten ill earlier and this was a great spot to relax and recharge. When we didn't have enough cash for the tikal tour the manager even lent us some money for it. All in all an amazing experience.
A perfect choice if you're visiting the Mayan ruins, closer to Tikal then the hotels in town. But only a short taxi ride into town for dinners at night. The onsite museum is very well done, pontoon boat tours free for guests to a nearby island so you can see howler monkeys up close and personal. And free kayaks to boat around the lake, big enough to completely explore and no other resorts on it at all. So very private. The rooms are spectacular & staff are so informative and helpful
This is a lovely resort on a lake. There are long trails around the lake where you can enjoy the forest and see howler monkeys (with luck). The food was excellent including local cuisine we didn't find elsewhere. Our cabin was quite fancy, with lots of space and a big bathroom.
Expensive room for a backpacker, but we had a very nice stay and enjoyed the luxury. Amazing view on the rooftop terras and nice food in the restaurant. We booked an extra day and got a free breakfast because we booked directly with them, so it's worth a shot to try that.
Small resort with only five rooms… very quiet, on its own island. Kevin was great about taking you to the mainland whenever needed and just a phone call, and within 10 min, he would pick you up.
Great hotel located in an area of Jungle outside Flores. Peaceful and secluded, it feels like a luxury resort but at a very reasonable price. They have trails in the forest and we saw monkeys, a crocodile and numerous birds. Very good value for money, very comfortable rooms, good staff and a great experience.
