Nestled amongst the natural and lush greenery of the rainforests near the border between Malaysia and Brunei, Mulu Marriott Resort is located on Melinau Paku River in Miri. The resort boasts a large fitness centre, pool and a sauna. It is 20 minutes from the Mulu Airport by car. Great location, about 4 minutes from Mulu National Park by Shuttle. Room was amazing with views of the forest and river. Staff were helpful and friendly. Couldn't ask for more.

It offers an infinity pool facing the South China Sea, Pool Bar, fully equipped Fitness Centre and free Wi-Fi access in its public areas. Nearby we visited permai rainforest resort, which was amazing for it's closeness to the forest and tree cabins, The culvert, where you sleep in drain pipes which was so so, but Cove 55 is another level. luxurious. staff is amazing. The kitchen is absolutely another level and worth a visit alone. 'Real' cocktails.. as if the only bartender in Borneo who knows anything about it works here. A real fitness with material that works. Bit pricier then the others but you absolutely get what you pay for.

Permai Rainforest Resort is an eco-friendly resort at the foot of Mount Santubong, a 5-minute walk from Sarawak Cultural Village. The resort offers a café and barbecue facilities.

Each cabin at Permai Resort is equipped with a fridge and tea/coffee maker. En suite bathrooms come with hot shower facilities. Amazing place. Monkeys with their long noses that were seen everyday on the resort trees were offcourse the highlight!
