we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. we were amazed at complex and what was available, the walking tracks thru the bush settings were great and it was so quiet. we were lucky to have a spa close to our room. would have ben nice if there had been breakfast available but the staff were extremely helpful and advised us where we could go and it was excellent,

Hotel Lake Brunner offers contemporary studios and apartments in the centre of the township of Moana, just 25 minutes away from Greymouth. Free parking is available.
The modern studios and apartments are modern and well equipped. The studio is equipped with a kitchenette. The 2-storey apartments are equipped with a full kitchen, separate seating area, and LCD TVs.
Location is special. Rather special that you can get the train there ‘ we didn’t because of what we were doing after our stay there but it is an option for the me t to the we visit Christchurch. Great food at the restaurant.

The last resort should be your first port of call at Karamea! Excellent value. Comfy, clean and spacious with wonderfully friendly staff. The bar and pool room are warm and welcoming and the meals in the restaurant are delicious! Fabulous value for money. We will definitely stay here anytime we come back to karamea.

Hotel is in an amazing location, which was why we chose it. We only stayed two nights but managed to do everything we wanted to in the area. The main one being the Franz Josef heli hike. Hotel restaurant was very good and the all inclusive dinner & breakfast (which I hadn't realised at the time of booking) was a bonus.

Karamea is an extraordinary, isolated, and wild destination. The resort style is super relaxed, and home- crafts flourish. Our unit was filled with thoughtful up-cycled furniture. Everything you need was provided. The restaurant served great home-styled food.

Rainforest retreat was fabulous! The beds were extremely comfortable, lovely bathroom, kitchen and lounge. We thoroughly enjoyed the luxury of the jacuzzi in the treetops. Everything was very special. We also enjoyed the Monsoon restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
