near city centre.
the first thing the lady told us when she opened the door " we are full tonight and we are not taking anyone in!"
I've booked this place 2 weeks before arrive through booking.com
in the end we had to wait about an hour for a room and the room was terrible.
the receptionist was talking with her friend downstairs until late it was like when they were sitting in our room.
if you are 18 years old you might not mind it but if you are over 30 like me you are going to hate that place
not far from centre
very near highway to get out of city
Breakfast. And the lady who looks after the place is lovely
Room extremely small. All decor tatty and the breakfast room needs a lot of work.
When we first went I we got the impression it was a flop house!
The room featured a small mini fridge which made things easier
I like the hotel attendant. She was very friendly and my room was neat.
They wrote double bed double rooms . Whereas its double bed
1room...quite misleading if I may ask. And the room is small.
The breakfast- asked for 3 scrambled eggs and no problem getting that along with toast and hash browns and coffee.
Shower in our private room did not work so had to go to shared bathroom to shower upstairs- The lady there claimed she was just the employee and did her very best to accommodate but would never go back again.
The Guest House offers a fantastic reception. When you arrive you immediately feel at home. Miss Tyra, who runs it, is a very kind, polite, reserved and friendly woman.
I was lucky because many of the abitual guests were funny and nice.
For breakfast, you should try the scrambled eggs that Miss Tyra prepares with love and dedication. Delicious.
The location of the Guest House is very interesting. It is located at the corner Arlington and Bank Street. Bank St. is a colorful place full of shops, bars and bistros. Here you can find all the services you need. But the most important thing is that Voyageur's Guest House so close the Central bus Station and close to the train station, too.
So it's perfect for travel.
If I go back to Ottawa, I will go to the Voyageur's guest house.
I didn't get the room I had booked, room was too small, no room phone or TV channels, breakfast was putrid.
There was nothing to like
Most disappointing B&B experience ever. Room was tiny barely get around the double bed.Room was unbearably hot no A/C a tiny window that would not stay open. We left and found alternative accomodation
I did like the location and the amenities. The cleanliness was also a plus.
