We stayed with our boys, 6 and 2. Both comfortably managed the short walk into Windsor. Ten minute walk to the train station and a ten minute drive to Legoland. Accommodation was ideal for us. Allowed us to put the kids to bed and to have our one space to relax.
Apartment was well laid out, comfortable, good kitchen/cooking facilities, secure underground parking, wifi worked well.
Aircraft noise as I'm not used to it,
Really close to the town and therefore the castle, also well placed for the train station if you are visiting London.
Having to go somewhere else to collect the keys and having to move the car out of the apartment parking before 10am.
Good location , good parking and plenty of space
Great location, lovely spacious apartment
It was a good sized house, plenty of space for the 5 of us.
I loved that the kitchen was properly stocked with pans and cooking accessories. Not like other apartments that say they have a kitchen and when you arrive, yes, sure, they have a kitchen but you have nothing to cook with! (and who goes on holidays to an apartment and takes pans and pots?!?)
So the kitchen was great. I could cook anything and it was great!
The living room was also very comfortable.
The only good bed was the double bed. Both single beds were awful and you could feel every single mattress spring. I had to sleep on top of the duvet to make it somewhat possible to sleep at all.
The curtains were too thin which meant that everyone was awake at first light of dawn.
Could have been a bit cleaner.
The situation could not have been better. Kitchen well equipped.
Only one two seater settee between four people.
It was just a short stroll into Windsor and was extremely well equipped and furnished. Everything we needed with a very informative information manual.
Location is great with a five min walk to the town centre, supermarket across the road, and Legoland just around the corner by car.
Good size apartment with nice modern kitchen and bathroom. Quite a secluded access to the apartment, with a small private courtyard.
My two girls say they are going back...what more can I say?
Children wanted curtains in their bedrooms as the rooms had blinds which don't keep the light out. They got used to it and we tired them out with lots of walking and trips.
The photo of Athlone Square from the outside is rather misleading, but don't be fooled, it really is a nice block.
Myself, wife and young family aged 5, 3 and 13 months stayed in the Windsor apartments and found everything we needed in a quiet and family friendly area.
The cleanliness of the apartment was second to none with all the mod cons a young family need when travelling.
The staff at check in where efficient and friendly and extremely helpful.
I would not hesitate to recommend and look forward to returning soon!
