We only had a short stay but found staff very helpful. Breakfast excellent. Gardens were lovely to take a stroll around. Rooms were comfortable with everything we needed. Short walk to the beach and shops.

Unfortunately the room we had was very noisy. the first night we had some people talking for a couple of hours at 2am. the second night there was talking(not sure if it was TV) and the door banging several times at around 4am.This I am afraid did spoil our holiday(luckily we were only there for a couple).Other than that the hotel was very good to stay for holiday.

Excellent location, easy parking, beautiful garden area, helpful staff, adequate - plentiful breakfast. My room was spacious, clean and warm. Good shower.

Poor changing area at the pool. Limited timetable for use of pool BUT was informed of this in advance. Decor ( esp. in corridors) a bit dated / tired.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and surrounding grounds.

Rooms were overly hot as we had to keep windows and doors open to cool it down.

Location was ideal, only a few minutes walk to the sea front and a few more minutes and you are into the town centre. Accomodation was good value for money and clean and comfortable. The grounds the hotel sits in are attractive and big enough for a walk around. Food was good and the service in the restaurant very prompt. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Car park is of a good size.

At times the staff seemed a little thin on the ground and were definitely required to do a fair bit of multi-tasking, meaning that due to no fault of theirs, we sometimes spent some time hanging around for services, i.e. in the bar, for coffee and drinks etc.

The garden

Didn't like the breakfast both mornings!! My husbands full english was greasey and I had the cold ham and cheese platter, when it arrived it was a slice of tasteless ham with a hand full of grated cheese (thought a platter was a selection)? The folllowing morning I asked for scrambled eggs with a little cheese scrambled into them, the waitress said the eggs had already been scrambled up ready so it wasn't possible, they should be made to order not hours before!!! So we had the poached smoked fish with poached egg, the fish was poached in water not milk. We new the hotel was a Vision Hotel but so out dated and grubby. Not worth £70 a night. On checking out we werent even aked if we enjoyed our stay.

First class Hotel.Clean,Sea view,Full breakfast choice.Bar.What more could you want. 5 minutes walk into Teignmouth.

Nothing. This hotel caters for Blind people and their guide dogs.It may not be suitable for families with young children, although I am sure they would be made very welcome as we were.
