Spa-Hotel De Bourgtheroulde 5 stars

The Hotel is based in a 16th century hotel particulier and the entrance is stunning. Look for the bas-relief of the Field of the Cloth of Gold (I could not identify Henry VIII). The modernisation is well done and the bar is striking. The spa facilities are also first class, and our room was large and comfortable (bed the size of a battleship).

Breakfast was very expensive.

Centrally located to the old areas of Rouen, the hotel is beautifully appointed and nicely finished. The bar area is just lovely, as is the pool. It is close to public parking facilities, so we didn't have to do their valet parking. Access to restaurants is an easy walk. Beds are super comfortable and rooms quiet.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

We stayed following our wedding on our way home from France and were upgraded to a Prestige room which was beautiful. We ate in the restaurant and had breakfast and all of the food was really really good!

The Wifi signal was a little low and the steam room didn't open until 10am which doesnt allow a great deal of time to enjoy if you are staying for 1 night as check out is 11am. The pool is open from 7am though.

We were expecting a nice comfortable hotel. We found an exceptional hotel with exceptional staff. We will be back!

Location right in the heart, so very convenient for everything. A beautiful building, inside and out. Bar particularly stunning. Customer service excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.

Not too keen to having a frosted glass door to the bathroom, where the toilet is inappropriately placed right in front of ! Bathroom stylish but too minimalistic as there was nowhere to safely put hair-dryer (it was on the sink unit), nowhere to hang robes. No shelving and no full length mirrors in the rooms at all. Food in restaurant could have been better, disappointing.

The location was ideal being in centre of city , valet parking was a help, staff were wonderful and the room was immaculate and large nice bed being 2 singles pushed together but not uncommon and made bed extra large.

The breakfast was overpriced and under quality, 22 Euros per person for a toaster which does not work properly, not made aware of omelettes available until after we have finished and noticed a badly placed sign, hot food was only warm with poor quality croissants so would advise to eat breakfast elsewhere

The very unique character of the hotel and the high standard in general

The price of drinks from the hotel bar.

great location in the centre of Rouen and a wonderful building. Rooms were clean and beds were really comfortable (great night's sleep!) - excellent bed linen! Swimming pool good, but could do with colder showers (the one by the pool wasn't working) - especially for post-sauna / steam room. Gym was pretty basic but the equipment was ok. breakfast was excellent - great choice very dog friendly

the hotel felt understaffed in parts for a 5* hotel - especially in the breakfast room/restaurant, also on Reception. Some worn furniture / flakey paint in bathroom and door wouldn't close properly. Whilst clean, there were elements about the general upkeep which I'd expect to be better for a 5* hotel Euro 25 for a dog seems rather excessive

Great location and building

Very smelly damp bathroom / broken mirror in bedroom / 25 euro charge for valet parking
