Rooms were lovely and comfortable.

The hotel is very well positioned for access both to the seafront and town centre. The hotel is very beautifully decorated, with two communal lounges with a very traditional English feel. Our bedroom was a good size, well presented and spotlessly clean, again with a mix of traditional decor combined with a modern and clean bathroom and a very good shower. The room was well furnished, though the TV screen was a little small. Breakfast was very good and could be pre-ordered for each person the day before from a good selection of full English or continental options. Easy access was provided by a side entrance which meant we could come and go whenever. There is also a pleasant garden to sit in during the Summer.

Just a couple of minor points. There was some confusion on arrival regarding payment and I had to show my statement on my i-phone to prove payment had already been taken from my account. Also we booked for three nights to be able to use the room throughout our entire stay, but had said on arrival that we were planning to leave on the evening of the second night. We felt slightly uncomfortable however when we were asked at breakfast on the second morning if we would consider vacating our room by 11am, just half an hour after normal check-out time, so the room could be re-used on our third night (and would thus have paid a full days charge for 30 minutes access). We declined as we had deliberately booked for three nights to be able to use the room all through the second day of our holiday.

Excellent value for the price.

A fantastic stay. The hotel staff were very welcoming and made our stay hastle free. The breakfast was good with many options available.

Parking facility The shower room was not clean, there was hair and dust on the floor at the side and to the rear of the toilet , this was obvious . I pulled up the duvet when we rose in the morning but did not actually make the bed or put the cushion back on, this was as I left it when we arrived back at night, and the towels were not straightened or dried, if we had not rearranged them then they would have been wet the next morning.
