Lovely decor and original wood work of an old house
Staff were poliet and cheerful
Nosey, party outside in their garden untill gone 12. Can hear everyone walking about. Not a good nights sleep we stayed for two days. Won't use this hotel again
Good location, staff really good
Bathroom room - bath dirty, no lock on door, no shower, room very basic no chairs in room
Not much to be honest
Location, right on a corner next to a shop. Parking was about trying to get your car between a tree and a bus stop. The parking available was the spaces in front of 4 houses adjacent to the hotel.
One channel on the tv, which you could only use if you didn't use the stand alone radiator. My room overlooked the conservatory and the lights were left on all night so my room was lit up all night. No room service, in fact no food at all as breakfast isn't served til 8am and I had to ask for something earlier. I managed to get an orange juice and a Danish pastry and whilst there were cereals, there were no bowls. At 10.30pm I had to ask if the family above me could turn their music down as I had to be up at 6, which they did and then put their tv on loud instead. I had booked for 2 nights but asked for a refund for the 2nd night. I was scared for the safety of my car, there were wires hanging everywhere and the public areas looked liked something the Adams family would live in. I've stayed in hotels all over the world and I can't begin to describe how it felt to walk over the threshold and see what lay beyond.
Love everything about this hotel, staff are friendly and helpful, room and hotel decor very quirky but refreshingly unique. Garden area amazing :)
Love this little gem and use it often.
If your looking for travel lodge / premier Inn uniformed style then this is not for you but if you want something clean, comfy and relaxed then this is a must!
My heating didn't work. Shower very grubby and small. No attention to detail cleanliness wise. Could here the main road as if the windows were open. No real parking. Sink had someone else's morning tooth past in it. The bed was uncomfortable.
I don't normally complain. The staff were nice. It had an odd entrance . I won't be going back especially for cost aswell.
The staff at the hotel were most welcoming and helpful. The decor was unusual and not at all what u would expect from the outside. Lots of beautiful handmade tiles and pots around the building. The garden was equally well decorated and very pleasant. The evening meal was reasonably priced and I felt well looked after for my overnight stay.
Can't think of any negatives worth mentioning.
Thin doors , could hear every noise. Wooden floors on top floor hall .
THE BUILDING IS VERY UNUSUAL AND UNIQUE, MUCH BETTER THAN THE CLINICAL ROOMS OF PREMIER INN AND TRAVEL LODGE. GOOD THAT YOU CAN OPEN BEDROOM WINDOW, VERY COMFY BED AND NO ONE THROWING US OUT OF ROOM DEAD ON CHECK OUT TIME, SLEPT FOR FURTHER TWO HOURS WITH NO BOTHER.
the friendly owners and staff; fabulous decor; a big and comfortable room; Chopin played live in the afternoons; rabbits and koi fish in the garden; etc.
Someone was stomping and moving things in the room above at night. Also to get in you had to ring the bell everytime, which was annoying when I had to make a few trips to the car to get our things.
I stay in hotels of all varieties almost every week of the year in And around London and the home counties. I am not fussy. This hotel was unique in its Greek style. The Staff and Family were very nice and the bed linen clean.
Advertised with parking. Room for one small car? Staff were good and directed me to a domestic driveway further up the road. WiFi was limited in speed. Room needed bringing up to reasonable standard. Evening meal choice, just Fish and Chips or Mousaka. Bar, bottles only, you have to go and find staff for service. Breakfast I paid for, took one look at what was on offer, and didn't bother. This is the first negative post I have written. Will I return? NO.
