We liked the location and the car park

The state of the dining room in the morning at breakfast time. There had been a wedding party there the day before and the whole seating area was filthy. No cleaning had been done and they were doing that, including carrying black bins liners full of waste during the time we were eating our breakfast. The breakfast was late in appearing and the staff not too friendly. The area around the bar was absolutely filthy. the tables sticky and bits of food on them. The floor was dirty too.

The staff although working under an unproffesional manager did well and were friendly.

Heating was on in communal areas but not on in guest rooms was very cold and I refused to pay for the room for the two nights we were there. The manager was agresive and unplesant having admited that the heating was on in the comunal areas because it got cold at night. Draw your own conclusions to that , I have not good

Location was good, the outside of the hotel was very run down and in need of a re-furb. If it was based on the outside view then I would not stay there. Inside was not bad but in need of new deco and the halls were very untidy.

Reception rooms very pleasant and plenty of room to sit.Helpful reception staff.

No lift, long walk with luggage to bedrooms, only accessed by going to floor 1 ,a long corridor with steps and then either upstairs or downstairs again. No good for anyone with mobility problems or a lot of luggage.

nice bar area and average breakfast we only stayed because it had a car park.

rooms were very shabby staff did there best but need training in customer service and manners. A wall of smoke at the front door was not a good start

The staff were friendly and the room was warm and clean.

The hotel and rooms are extreemly tiered and in need of refurbishment. I will not be stopping there again.

Very convenient for attending concerts at town hall etc and lively cafe area around Broad St canal basin, because has excellent bus services to city centre, so no headaches over secure car parking. Hotel has good parking . Also has very quiet bedrooms at rear even tho hotel itself is on a very busy main road.

First night we were surprised to be told that restaurant was full, so had to go into city for decent meal. Im sure they could have served us a decent meal in the bar area, but only snacks were available there
