location is OK. next to Midas bar


The staff were rude and unhelpful. at 2-3am my room didn't open due to a failure in the key mechanism. It had all of my things inside my room. I was promised a refund for the next day, when they finally let me in at 5:30am. The lady who was the manager (black coloured, unhelpful lady) downstairs said because we slept in the room, we cannot get a refund. no apology, rude. I can think of a few other words I could call her but I shall refrain. Her poor attitude reflects badly on what the standard of hotels should be like. I don't know how she was raised or how she even got her job, but I would most definitely avoid staying at this place

The staff


The bathroom had a smell that was unbearable. Curtains were terrible and the room is uncomfortable / clinical

Clean, compact and perfect rooms.


Romantic weekend disturbed by my wives work, then issues with the hotel. I explain that my wife had been called into work and attempted an arrangement so she would not have to walk from an NCP to the hotel. The gent on the desk and i agreed we could use the under hotel parking for one night given the circumstances. ON her return i got a rather snotty phone call from reception requesting the car be moved or i face a 27 pound fee?? I refused and they said 10 pounds fee again I refused. Eventually honouring the earlier discussion. This was not needed at all as the car park was empty.

Close to all the amenities and a very nice, clean hotel, well happy with my stay.would stay here again.
