Friendly & efficient staff - food had innovative features & was generally good - Pleasant atmosphere - adjustable bed in Oakdale was of high comfort standard. Extra light was provided at our request.

Lack of a lift. Bedroom lighting rather poor. Lack of heating in bedroom & breakfast room - although when I complained on leaving I was told that addirtional heating could have been supplied had I complained earlier. Bathroom window appeared to be unopenable, but again I was told later that it opened by sliding! Unusual in a sash window - a sign would have been helpful.

A nice and friendly atmosphere with lovely surroundings, and perfectly located for a stopover before entering Llangollen canal the next day.

Food was fantastic (evening meal and breakfast). Owner/manager was very helpful. Good value for money.

Shower room was very small, but it did the job.

Friendly owner and staff made us very welcome, even though we arrived late. The breakfast was hearty, non-greasy and plentiful.

Very welcoming and friendly. Food first class and plentiful. Good ambience and the pub was packed each night. Overall very enjoyable and excellent value for money.

Decor a bit tired in places and dusty too. This was however reflected in the age of the building and price and would not deter me from staying again.
