Exacerbated by the bed end not allowing a 6'2" man to stretch. The double glazing was an super sound proofer BUT when fresh air needed a main highway literally feet away is disruptive.	7.1

The cottage is beautiful as is the location and is exactly the sort of place my fiance and I love. We have stayed in many a boutique before now and I can tell you with great confidence, that River Cottage comes extremely high on the list, only to be beaten by Kegworth House on value for money. Having said that the breakfast at River Cottage would take some beating so we'll call it a draw. Wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Many thanks to John and Gilly for their fantastic hospitality. Nothing - apart from the recent booking.com reviewer that complained about road noise! We stayed in the room that would be most affected and didnt hear a pin drop all night, let alone car noise????	10
