Friendly stuff, cosy environment with a strong naval theme, good english breakfast.


The heating is central apparently or there was no obvious way on how it could be started so I would freeze to death in the morning. Also Portsmouth is a really boring city...

Close proximity to Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station and Historic Naval Dockyard. Room was clean and very comfortable and there was a quiet, informal atmosphere.

Friendly staff and always willing to assist, excellent service on checking in as we were blue badge holders no problem with getting parked up and assisted with our lugguge, always look forward to staying with you, Thank you. Chris & Peter Copper

Friendly and efficient staff, excellent value for money, surprisingly quiet for a city-centre location.


Some areas (stairways in particular) a little tired around the edges.

Stayed here in March 4nts and again 3 nts May returning for 1 nt stay in June Location Good Clean Food Good


Same comments as in March. Public Areas need updating and redecorating. Stayed in standard room this time ,if this is as all standard rooms then adequate but again needs updating

Friendliness of staff, food, cleanliness, general ambience of hotel. Great position on a wide street, parking was good.


Shower in my room, would not have one like it at home
